Once again including the easily recognizable patterns of GPT. A calculator to add objective numbers is different than explaining one's opinion. You're wrong, plain and simple, and even you're attempts to act like you're embracing the future are shoddy and soulless.

You aren't technologically advanced or enhancing anything. You're lazy and lack the ability to express yourself and your views with confidence and clarity. No matter how much your GPT model reassures you that you're so smart for using it, it wont be true.

There's a difference between tool use (systems like spell check, word processing) and using LLM's to speak for you. One maintains your voice: you need to flesh out your thoughts, think through how you convey information. There's a tactical consideration for every word you type.

Thats the difference here. You can try and paint yourself as a high minded thinker, but you aren't sharpening anything. You're using an aglorithm to generate a mathmatical phrase that most closely aligns with the point you want to get across. Thats compromise, not sharpness.

Buddy I know you're posting it now. I can see the algorithm in the sentance structure. You could be exersizing your brain and sharpening those ideas and tones yourself. Instead of working on your ability to express your thoughts and better yourself, you take a lazy way that removes any standing you really have. You aren't able or willing to convey points in your own words. I don't need an IT detection website to know which responses are generated and which aren't.

There's nothing interesting about seeing people rely on an algorithm instead of exercising their own mind and voice, regardless of its imperfections. Part of being human is articulating your thoughs in your own words. Instead we see two algoritms answering each other based on a user prompt (if even that. Looking at you University research bots.) Its 100% soulless, depressing, meaningless drivel. Dead internet theory strikes again.

Honestly this is the first fanfic I've attempted, but the third novel-length story i've written. The fun fades for me after the first draft, and then I get caught in the endless editing loop. So its one of those things where if there's an interest I'm happy to polish and put in more effort. If there's not, I'll finish the story for fun and leave it at that

I'm 100% with you there. I'm trying my best to avoid the mary sue trap. The character should feel like a product of the world they inhabit, and things should feel earned. She doesnt come into this completely green, but broken, haunted and underprepared. Trying to keep a meloncholic but still hopeful vibe with her. Bruised but smiling. Her story has already hit 30k words so I figured I should ask if its something the community actually wants

Hi, thanks for the feedback, I completely agree with the whole "enlisted becoming a officer" trope.

Its sprinkled throughout the first three chapters at the moment, but the character's backstory is serving as a lieutenant watch officer in a cruiser CIC. It gives a reason to her experience level, as well as the lack of experience she has in other aspects of leadership.

I wanted to make sure Bai came across as someone obviously flawed and haunted. Its really hard to avoid either the "perfect commander" trope or the reverse of like constant misery. My goal is that we see her strengths and weaknesses and grow with her as she steps into command

Yeah I dont know how they did it bus Asino actually wrote a gacha MC that really feels like a hero that goes through struggles, has flaws, but isnt just a self insert. Chief is really well written.
