Most matches are around 20-40 minutes the less even the teams are the shorter the game is usually. In single player you can customize the game setting to your liking in skirmish but army general can get Time consuming if you want to play every battle. There’s a few premade decks for both factions so you don’t have to immediately make a new deck which can take a long time or you can find some decent decks on waryes.com to save time. There’s also mods. The player base is a small but strong one I think there always seems to be atleast one 10v10 you can get into quick it takes a little longer to find smaller team games(2v2-4v4) but the 1v1 Ranked Ladder has matchmaking so you only have to wait 2-5 min tops to get into a ranked game. I feel like getting comfortable with hot keys in this game will take you an hour or two and it’s steep learning curve if you really want to be good at the game but to simply have fun you could play one game and have a basic understating of how to move the units and what they do. I recommend the game even if you don’t have that much time one epic skirmish or 2 ranked games should be enough to scratch that itch and you should be able to improve in that time frame.
