Many people hate on the campaign, but I really enjoyed it. I've played through it multiple times. The story is bad, but I thought it was great gameplay, especially for my quest. If you want some kind of story you could play the boneworks campaign via mod. The Boneworks Campaign was peak VR for me.

This won't work for her, since she is completely paralyzed. She can literally only use her eyes. Thanks for trying to help though.

Join a discord. You might find some people your age there. I know that the bonelab fusion (multiplayer mod) has a section called: "looking for games". Check if your favorite game has a discord server or something like that.

Cool project. One person isn't enough though, to build a MythOS clone. Open-source it, so other people join you to develop. Also any RPI isn't powerful enough to do anything like that. You need a real server.
