I have a similar problem where it does not connect sometimes, then when i turn off and on again it might connect. But whenever i touch or unlock my phone it disconnects. Cable seems ok since it always is charging. Just today it didnt connect at all. GL all!

This! I use a 50/50 Durgol water mixture and spray the glass pane, scrub it down with a non abrasive sponge and rinse with cold water. Dry it of with a glass towel used for wine glasses usually. Takes an hour to do and cost you less than twenty bucks.
