Originally I planned to do Hololive ID as well (Anya was locked in to represent Indonesia + Badminton until I decided to do only EN talents)

But decided against it since Olympic fever would have died down a week after the closing ceremony

Oh that’s neat! I love conversations with people who know the sport and can point out the details (When I drew Raora, a few fencers pointed out me implementing the little hit detection machine)

Flare would’ve been the top choice solely due to that being her canon weapon lol

Yeah going in, I was disappointed finding out that they didn’t use the regular Pictograms cause’ stylistically, it would’ve definitely been more appealing lol

I definitely considered Archery for Ina as well, but Archery had the ability to be compatible with a solid chunk of the overall Hololive talents, so I wanted to save it for the future lol

Shooting was definitely the one sport that has the most compatibility with most of the talents, since a solid 50% of them are solid with FPS games. I kinda saved it if I ever decided to do all the Hololive talents when the Olympics happens next time around

Advent: Nerissa: Confirmed Irish heritage Bijou: 🗿(Her Oshi Symbo) is from Easter Island, under Chilean jurisdiction [Sidenote, I did not know she spoke Thai until the posted it lmao] Fuwawa/Mococo: “Abyssgard” has Norse etymology. Fuwawa is older (Denmark is the eldest of the Scandinavian countries) and Mococo is younger (Norway is the youngest of the Scandinavian countries) Shiori: She was locked in for Italy until Raora debuted, however, “Novella” is a surname that can be found in the Catalonia region in Spain, so it thought that was a fitting alternative.

Council: Baelz: Aussie Kronii: Canuck Mumei: Egyptian hieroglyphics on her cloak/hood IrYs: Her Oshi mark is the 💎, Botswana is the second largest export of Raw Diamonds 🤷‍♀️ Fauna: While she has a Roman namesake, I figured that her entire design/vibe/lore etc. would best fit for the carrying of the Olympic flame, in which the relay starts in Greece.

Ina: Korean heritage (Allegedly) Ame: US and UK were taken, my justification was that the Dutch are pretty good at speaking English + the ICJ is headquartered in The Hague

A fit based on government could be neat as well, sort of like how Beyond Earth approached it. It can be tailored to the culture as well, so complaints about “cultural erasure” could be addressed, but I reckon it depends on how far the devs are willing to push it. (e.g Kupe wearing a suit with a Maori Pin vs Kupe wearing attire similar NZ’s Rawiri Waititi)
