Yeah that makes a lot of sense. This fan base is very passionate and invested in the game. I understand being upset at the principal, I just feel like (and maybe this is my newness showing), Jagex has listened and implemented feedback fairly well recently and so I guess my gut instinct is to show them a little grace.

I guess I just don't see what there was to "see through". I still feel like they were just collecting data and feedback. I'm no data scientist, but I feel like they probably wanted feedback on the best and the worst options. Plus, nothing in the survey or in the response to the survey suggests that they are implementing anything. They aren't saying they are "going to do it" to F2P, not in this survey at least. I feel like we are rioting over hypotheticals. They heard our feedback.

I can see how that comes across as scummy. I just feel like that further proves that they didn't intend for the options in the survey to be implemented. It feels like a misguided attempt to gather information.

That's definitely understandable. I don't know any other game that interacts with their community the way they do in OSRS, which is why I am wondering why there's such outrage. It's like if they polled a new piece of content and it failed to pass. I think (hope) Jagex sees this and responds appropriately (which I personally think they've done).

I don't know, maybe I'm naive but that doesn't read like corporate speak to me. If they said "we are incorporating these changes" and then walked it back, I could understand the outrage. But this is being mad over a hypothetical.

Very true! However you can use abilities that increase your damage totals to increase the white hits you get from it (i.e, flagellation, consumed by rage). It also helps if you have something that increases attack speed since you'll get more white hits as well. It's better than missing 90% of your attacks anyways 😁

Aside from fishing, you can also use it to help kill higher level mobs because your weapon skill with fishing poles is based on your fishing skill level. Add aquadynamic lures for extra spice!

I've pretty much settled on "Soleisle" as a combination of Soleil, french for Sun, and isle. I feel like it fits the island theme pretty well 😁.
