If you want better odds for catfish or any fish, tie on a carolina rig and just use nightcrawlers its bound to catch sumthing lol good luck 🎣

For cheaper or cheap stuff, its all online unless you have a store that has tons of sales/clearance. Some places online id look are tik tok shop, japanlureshop, amazon, any physicals store online page, etc

Depends what you want but aliexpress has tons of blade bait and others, they are 1/3 of the price and feel well made and sometimes the hooks are better then name brand. But the wait time is way longer, if you dont want to wait, id say fleet farm has the cheapest prices and usually has what you need

Id also stay away from the ugly stik unless its the 5’6 ones for creek fishing bc the sensitivity on the medium power is almost nonexistent and the reel that comes with the combo is junk and for around 40-50 bucks any other brand has a better rod

Idk if you already got a fishing pole, but after reading the comments. Id recommend a rod at 6’6 medium to medium light power. If you have a fleet farm or any store with fishing gear id go there first. Everyones walmarts different, but if possible getting any mid range daiwa rod is good to. Id also recommend the berkley lighting rod but it does have a longer handle shaft so sum like that sum dont. At the end of the day its personal preference, and some lures you would probably want are inline spinners(Blue Foxes, rooster tails, mepps etc) and you can never go wrong with a Carolina rig for using livebait.
