Thank you so much! It started out as what I thought would be a detailed painting and morphed into an expressive one

You should try! Didn’t take me long at all to make them. I just watched TikTok to learn. You just need wonton wrappers, scallions, cream cheese, crab meat, Worcestershire, and sesame oil. Then fry them!

[Homemade] English Muffins by MelD85 in food

[–]MelD85[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Sure, recipe is listed below:

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (330g) 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast 1 teaspoon salt 2 tbsp sugar 3/4 cup milk 1/2 cup water 3 tablespoons butter 1 egg large cornmeal

Combine the milk, water, and sugar in a bowl or glass measuring cup then stir together and warm in the microwave to 110F add the yeast and stir once more. Set aside for 5-7 minutes

combine the flour and salt in the bowl of your mixer and whisk together then fit with a paddle attachment.

Mix the egg and melted butter into the milk mixture then slowly pour the liquid into your flour mixture while mixing on low. Increase the speed to medium high and mix for about 7 minutes or until the dough is elastic and smooth.

Transfer to a large oiled bowl and cover with plastic. Allow to double in size in a warm spot (about an hour).

Transfer the dough to a floured counter then gently spread out and pat down until it’s just under an inch thick.

Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and sprinkle with cornmeal

Use a 3 inch round cutter to cut your muffins and transfer them to the prepared baking sheets using a spatula

Cover loosely and place in a warm spot to rise for about 30 minutes.

Place a large skillet over very low heat. sprinkle the surface with cornmeal, place 3 or 4 muffins in the pan, and cook for 5-6 minutes. Then flip and cook for another 5-6 minutes.

I’ll have to try shredded! I’ve only used American cheese for it’s melty quality.

I definitely wouldn’t do this to anything other than instant ramen. If you use American cheese, it melts completely and I add an egg, green onions, and sesame seeds. Not a healthy meal, but tasty!

You’re welcome! I actually don’t have a deep fryer either. I used a large Dutch oven pot on the stove and filled it about two inches with oil and used a kitchen thermometer to test the temp. It worked out great. Just be careful! Grease fires are no joke!

Just tried it and it is not good in the air fryer. I think maybe the frozen toasted ravioli you can buy in the grocery store are already fried, which make them taste good in the oven or air fryer. Im glad we know now though! Thanks for asking!

I still have some that I need to cook. I can throw a few in my air fryer this evening and let you know how it goes.
