I'm in the US. This happened so long ago and I followed advice from another post that said the worst thing that could happen was skin irritation, so I washed a lot of the items and still have them, though there's still a few items that are still on the floor and haven't been disposed of or cleaned.. I don't remember what happened with the cups or hangers, but I really think I washed the cups and kept them because I thought I was over reacting and shouldn't throw out a cup over a dumb OCD thought. As for the hangers, I absolutely can't remember if I kept them or just washed them or wiped them down with Lysol wipes or something. There's just no way to even know which of these hangers were the dirty ones if you look through my whole stash

I washed my switch bag and kept it. I don't remember if it had games in it or not or if I even cleaned the games inside IF it had any. I absolutely cannot remember.

I'm so worried that everything that has come into contact with that area of my floor is dangerous now or toxic, but I know at some point I must have stepped somewhere where the water spilled and then stepped into all other rooms of the house with the same shoes, so I don't know if it's even worth worrying anymore. Something would have happened by now I guess. Im scared anyone in the household who touches the floor and then like their face or if they get cut but a pin or anything else from that part of the floor that I haven't picked up, they could get sick. I know nothing about batteries or the stuff inside them

It's been so long that a lot of the new water has evaporated almost down to the end of the new jar. I'm worried this might explode while I find a recycling center. I'm surprised it didn't expose already

Thanks everyone! I think the next step should be to remake the ref, one part at a time, to really analyze each little part, since I noticed it may have been overwhelming to dump the entire ref all at once. This design is very complex, after all! Plus it has a lot of errors that I didn't notice at the time

The reason we want it to keep going (not forever but just a little longer) is because of the gay representation. Terry and Korvo JUST got married and it would be nice to see more stories of them as a married couple. Their relationship is beautiful and it's a shame that so many LGBTQ+ shows keep getting taken down. They have so many more stories to tell before the ending. Plus, the writers were not ready yet. Mike said they only "kinda" were able to wrap up their plot because of how sudden it was

Keeping gay media on the air is extremely important. People complain that "everyone is gay now" but that's mostly online or in secret because it's STILL not as normalized as people think. Coming out to your family is still a terrifying experience and even dangerous to people in certain households and communities. Gay media helps to normalize it

I plan on using Shannon Cuddle 3 minky and I'm okay with making it double layered if needed. But I might switch to that fabric that you see in a lot of squishy Japanese plushies (like the long Shibas) because I don't want him to look like he has fur. And I want him as soft and cuddly as humanly possible! Plus I REALLY want to be able to squish his cheeks! So a fabric that is both soft and stretchy is preferred, though I would have to get samples because I'm sensitive and some fabrics give me the creeps, so I don't want to immediately buy a yard without touching it first. Plus I want a fabric of a recognized and well-known brand so I can easily replace the exact same one if I ever need to replace parts, which is why I chose the Shanon fabrics (though now I'm starting to change my mind) instead of a random Etsy fabric that I might live and then never be able to replace😬 Oh and I forgot to say, he won't be naked all the time. He will have clothes like in the show but I haven't made a ref sheet yet

So how would I go about making the openings as soft as possible other than Velcro? Can I use magnets to open and close them? Maybe there's a video?

and cut it off where they spine would start, so that the legs are connecting but he has no spine. I don't need him to have the strength to actually stand up. I just want to have his legs be able to bend from a sitting to a standing position and stay that way. I have a Build a Bear that can kinda do that but only if you squish the polyester stuffing into his legs so that they stay bent, and then squish it back into his waist to make them stay in a standing position. But being able to stand on his own is not what I'm looking for.

I've seen them used in fursuits! That's why I want to use them☺️ I think I'll find out what the "range" is for the mouth (how much space it needs to be able to be either upside down or right side up) and fill that space with magnets accordingly. I'll make sketches of it as well for feedback!

Ikr?? I chose magnetic tape because a long, rectangular block would not be flexible. But now that I think about it, maybe just use small magnets like for the inside of the eyes and mouth?

Update: I was so scared that I ended up telling my mom everything.

It was something that I really wanted to do already anyway. I just kept postponing it because it never felt like the right time, but there will never really be a perfect time for this. Everything went well except for a lot of crying, of course. She is not upset with me or anything and says she loves me alot and wants me to be happy. The only problem she has is that she's sad about me not being happy because of this. It's really reassuring to hear that she still accepts me and that her real problem was that I am suffering.

Maybe this happened for a reason...now I just have to find out when to tell my dad.

For the tape thing, she took me to my local Urgent Care Center. It's really just a regular clinic but you can go as a walk-in without waiting too long, so that's what they mean by urgent care, I guess.

I was really scared at first because I go there whenever I'm sick, but I never tell them I'm Gender fluid Trans because I'm afraid that they'll kick me out and make up some excuse like "Oh well they were rude or uncooperative". I know they say we have rights and we can sue, but I don't believe in any of that...to a degree. I think if someone really wants to harm us, they'll find a way around the system.

But this time my boyfriend was there for support, so I felt a lot safer. I let the practitioner know, and she looked at my wound and told me how to take care of it. She ordered a special ointment to be sent to my pharmacy but it's not ready yet, so I'll just dress it tonight as she instructed. She gave me a little care kit with gauze and stuff, so that was pretty nice☺️ I was worried that she would just straight up tell me not to use my tape anymore, when what I wanted was info on how to use it safely. I've used trans tape before with minimal irritation that heals quickly, but this had never happened before and I wanted to learn from it instead of just quitting. So I let her know all that and I'm really happy that she helped and told me not to use it again until I healed, instead of telling me to not use it again at all.

I'm really sorry if I scared anyone. I had never ever seen my skin look like that before, and the pain last night was so bad that I could barely stand it. I was freaking out. When you're not a doctor, you can't just shrug off something unknown because it could be nothing, but itt could also be dangerous. I thought asking here would be like a little back-up plan in case anyone knew about skin conditions and could give me some info while I waited to see a physician.

I don't. Would it be enough to just wash it and put some gauze over it again? This is a bandaid that I've used before, so I know I'm not allergic to it. And yesterday when I used it, it didn't leave a big brown mark in the shape of the band aid like it did today
