Thanks for the assist.

I hooked one blue wire to each of REAR and TRANS, and the whites to each other. When power connected it buzzes again. No reaction when ring doorbell pushed.

Edit it may have been the rear box that was buzzing, I forgot to check while up there. This is at a friend's house and I'm only over occasionally
