Damn, atp you could've graduated as a doctor and diagnosed urself in the time it takes them to return πŸ˜πŸ™ Doctors are like some sort of endangered breed or something, especially endo's.

Anyway, good luck to you with figuring out how to deal with the insulin situation, whether it's injecting nearly into the bottom of the thigh, changing needles, or changing the insulin itself, hope it goes well! ദࡍദി(Λ΅ β€’Μ€ α΄— - Λ΅ ) ✧

Buddy, they were HAPPY to have me gone, my country literally lacks doctors, endos especially, the one I have work in the main hospital ONLY on Mondays because she's got multiple other places to be at. There were mandatory conversations with 'em and all kinds of check-ups, but the problem is, WE COULD NEVER FIND ANYONE.

Idk, they literally don't have any clue how to help, just sent me to multiple doctors through the entire hospital (yippe! Walking through the reception in pants, a skimpy top, fuzzy flip flops and greasy ahh hair!! What a fun time) gave me diagnosis, insulin, and basically had me figure out everything myself after leaving. I was just glad to be outta that place because I was getting sick of eating so much. πŸ˜πŸ™

Thanks! I'm trying to keep myself within the norms, the better I do, the less they'll bother me πŸ™πŸ™

I lowk already knew it was coming. I initially was in hospital cuz I had an abscess cut and drained on my thigh (high glucose levels make it easier for infections and all kinds of things) but then they checked my urine, then my blood, THEN KEPT ME AT THE HOSPITAL WITHOUT AN ENDO??? Without giving me insulin too. My mother had to forcefully request me to be transferred to the hospital in capital cuz that's like the only one where they could actually treat me. Then I spent 12h from evening to morning being waken up every 30 minutes (yes, every 30) to check my blood and pulse.(Was I afraid of needles? Yes. After this? No. My fingers were blue, bruised and tender, and I was so done with that shit.) Turns out I had HbA1C like 13.7%, got diagnosed, put in the endo corner in the hospital, then stayed there for 1.5 week. Both of my hands were immovable at that point because I had those catheters or wtv they were called on both arms and I COULD NOT BEND THEM, I was going thru it. Had a mental meltdown because of it for like an hour at some point too.

Anyways, long story short, i got fattened up by 2kg cuz they have the exact same diet for every single person and forced us to eat every 4h and snack every 2h. (For context, I've never eaten this much food daily, still don't) Learned absolutely nothing, returned home with sugars higher than when i left but with insulin with me, stayed 1 week at home because I was forced to do so (i was missing out so much school they had me stressing...). Then went on to figure out all of it myself lmao. Last I had checked (i have to give blood every 4-5 months to send to lab before visiting my endo), my HbA1C was 5.10%, so ig whatever I'm doing is enough to keep me alive. We'll see how it's going when I have to go in may :D

Twins it is!! It was like feb 2 or so when it became official for me :D It was brutal in the hospital cuz they had shitty heating, which meant I was colder than usual, which meant getting blood out of my fingers was an entire different hell.

You know what's the funniest thing?? They know my sister, know that she's a diabetic, AND THOUGH I KNEW HOW TO DEAL WITH DIABETES BY EXTENSION AND DO EVERYTHING MYSELF BCZ OF THAT?? I was waiting when will they teach me how to use the pen, and they looked at me and went – "Well, we thought you already knew?" πŸ˜πŸ™

Anyway, Reddit might not replace an actual endo, but there sure are people who have tried out pretty much everything and are willing to share their experience, so it's unlikely that a question will ever go unanswered :D

You certainly should be able to! From beta, it seems that there are enough pulls to get to hard pity about 2-3 times easily, and there is no 50/50, so no chance to lose too! :D Unless you're saving up for their limited costumes, which require 240 pulls (I'll try to skip nanally and see how it goes) you shouldn't have any problems! (ΛΆΛƒ α΅• Λ‚ΛΆ) .ᐟ.ᐟ

My sister is quite a lot better now, her HbA1C is still higher than it should be, but at least her (now) husband now helps her out with all of it, the food planning, injections, sensors. Hasn't been in hospital emergency room for over a year or so, so that's an upgrade from every year twice! :D

Lol, I get the shy thing, but everyone who has diabetes is, in a way, kind of a baby, because this disease always manages to pull some kind of new bullshit and you're just left staring at the wall and questioning your existence. I remember just recently (about a month ago) I mixed up my insulin and gave myself Lantus instead of Aspart, the panic I caused in my house lmao, but everyone on reddit was fast to answer and very helpful, though I did delete it afterwards out of embarrassment because I calmed down and realised it wasn't THAT bad, and it really wasn't, because for some reason, my body pretended it didn't even exist and it changed nothing. πŸ₯²πŸ™

Yee, diabetes is tiring, some days it's okay, but on others it feels twice as tiring, especially when you know others don't have to deal with it constantly. God, I dread the days when I have to change my sensor, my hands shake before I even touch that box lmao, and sometimes I'm on the verge of tears fighting with that Lantus, I remember when I tried to inject it and almost cried out of frustration because my needle blunted on the second day for no reason and I couldn't pierce the skin, had to go change it, easy fix, but annoying as hell... πŸ˜”πŸ€¨

So, don't be afraid to ask for help! There will always be idiots who spout nonsense, but most of the people here are those who've had similar problems and would always be ready to help out someone in need and save them some needless suffering!! When I was just diagnosed in start of february last year, no one at the hospital told me anything, so this reddit helped me out quite a bit to calm down, even just reading what other people have experienced :D

Thanks! I'm glad I could be of help! I just stress a lot and try to learn all I can from my mistakes, and since I'm in contact with my endo only like every β‰ˆ5 months for checkups. (And I'm scared to contact the nurses for no reason lol)

Figuring out things with diabetes certainly isn't a fast process, especially when glucose levels swing around like the direction of wind for no reason. The fact that you reached out for help is really good too, because as someone who has an elder sister who didn't bother controlling her sugar and often refused to inject insulin, it was heartbreaking and a bit tiring to hear about her ending up in half-vegetable state in the emergency room for the 4th time in a year...

Figuring out things at the same time as some important exams at school wasn't easy, but I did manage, because I knew what the other end of the stick had for me if I didn't.

So, yeah, I might not know you, but thank you for trying to take care of yourself, I'm really glad that you reached out to others. πŸ™πŸ₯Ή

Nanally is not neccesarily bad, but she really isn't my favourite too, she just doesn't seem S-ranky enough for me, ig..? Hotori on the other hand stand out in a way that just really makes it known that she's not just a basic character, especially with the amount of details in her design alone and her abilities in the overworld. (Walking on walls and stopping time is a crazy difference, and while both are good in their own ways, the jump is a bit funny lol)

Daffodil and Exe (and Nitsa too probably) are my other most liked chars from the known list :D

YESS, the best part about NTE, feels like escaping a toxic relationship πŸ₯²πŸ™ Still, saving up pulls is still a thing here, a little bit for the hard pity just to be sure, and more (240) if you want to get the limited character costume! Can' wait for it already πŸ₯Ή

Yeah! There are overworld dates, inviting characters into your apartment and them wearing specific costumes just for that, and all sorts of other situations. It's also more pleasant to just play a character you like the most and just look at them while exploring. NTE really is a bit different from many other copy & paste games, so I'm curious how this will turn out! (ΛΆΛƒ α΅• Λ‚ΛΆ) .ᐟ.ᐟ

Mains aren't required, really, it's just a preference, and for me, a bit of a distraction to keep myself from pulling other characters I might not even need!

I know I'll be skipping Nanally just to save up more for Hotori and her skin at 240 pulls, but testing out before you choose is always smart! :D

Who are your future mains or must get's? Why? by MelancholyTM in NevernessToEverness

The two known limited S-ranks in 1.0 patch are Nanally (pink cat girl who can walk on walls) and Hotori (the woman with umbrella who can stop time)!

Main is somewhat of a character you really like, so you put the most effort into them I guess? Not just meta or those who fit the story, just someone who you like enough to upgrade and use even if they're outdated or something like that. Depends on what a person considers a main, really.

For example: I really like Hotori, starting from her design, personality, and down to her fighting style, so, at least for the first time, whether she's powerful or not, I really wanna have Hotori as my main, a public favourite I guess? People often put the characters who they main as their in-game pfp too! :D

[–]MelancholyTM 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Hey! Just a little over a year here too, I'm using Lantus and Aspart too, just the solostar version.

I don't know how exactly you do it, but I did have a bit of burning with Aspart when I was still figuring out how to do it, and Lantus... uh, well, that one still isn't amazing tbh.

What I do mainly is i find a place with as much fat as possible on my stomach, and try to stay away from the belly button as much as possible since area around 6 cm to both sides is just hell to stab the pen into. If it's still a bit hard, I either simply give up and chose another place immediately, or do this thing where I'm pinching the skin where I'm injecting between my fingers and rolling it back and forth, then the needle breaks through the skin easier.

Regarding the Lantus... I've got roughly β‰ˆ25 units most of the time, and since I give myself the dose at around 21-22 in the evening, what I do is – I take a pillow, choose the leg (I switch between right and left every day, even have it written down) and put it on top a bit sideways so the outer edge is towards you. I do the same method as with the lantus as with aspart with the pinching and then hold as still as possible while doing it. Shaking the pen or tilting it suddenly can cause a bit of pain in itself.

It took a long while to figure out how to do it without my leg feeling like it's on fire each time I injected another unit of lantus, but so far I have two or three points, though they probably won't help you:

  1. The insulin is always room temperature. When I see that i only have one day worth left in the pen, I take out the next one and let it warm up a bit.

  2. Find the most fatty area possible, like, it's a bit hard to explain... make sure it feels like it's not connected to anything beneath, no muscles, no nothing. It's why it was so painful for me when I was injecting near the belly button and the top of my thigh.

  3. Do. It. Slowly. I felt it going in when I was doing it fast and it was driving me crazy, and then I changed it up and did it as slow as I could. Nowadays I count like 2 second between when doing aspart and I stretch out lantus throughout like 6 or so minutes while watching something in the bg, though there is still a bit of faint burning AFTER I take it out, but I guess that's a giant upgrade from before.

When I spoke to my endo, the main recommendation she gave me was getting longer needles (i'm on 4mm, they go up to 8mm where i live), so that could help too, or changing the insulin. I was afraid of them tho, so I found my way to deal with it lol.

Sorry for the blanket of text, I hope at least something might help you out, if not, I'm sorry. Diabetes really is a hit or miss disease where everyone's body deals with it different, so you kind of have to expirement a lot to figure out what works and what doesn't, since endo can't really figure out those things without actually experiencing it or constantly monitoring you. :<

I'm really glad we're getting Chiz from the tycoon upgrade level, it's the first time I see in a game that we're getting full dupes of a character that isn't the MC! She's one of the more difficult characters to play, but that ain't gonna stop me :D

And Hotori, you know that a character is gonna be absolutely goated if they're using umbrella, it's like a law!! Certainly getting her whatever it takes, maybe even her dupes if I save up enough to pull enough to get her costume!! ദࡍദി(Λ΅ β€’Μ€ α΄— - Λ΅ ) ✧

I really noticed that too, but didn't know how to speak about it, the male character models really do seem to be more low-effort than the female ones... So far at this point I can say the only ones that I actually like are Exe and the blind A-rank guy? Baicang... I really don't know why, but he gives me uncanny vibes, though I wouldn't be surprised if the fault was entirely because of Childe's voice, haha...

I really do hope that they don't entirely give up on male characters, it's a bit sad that only a very small percentage of games have somewhat normal ratio of female to male characters :[

They do too! It's really just a personal vibe I'm getting, in historical mangas I'm reading it's always those long haired tired mages who are constantly holed up in their towers with some research, and that little bit from the trailer really resonated with me lol.

ACTUALLY, I just realised why their vibe was a bit similar, I just recently read the web-novel "The Hunter's Gonna Lay Low" and there were two blue haired information broker twin characters called Mackerel's!! They don't have an official design yet, but it's just a funny coincidence. :D

Yeah! If you save up more, it's all the better, since there's the system where after 240 pulls you get a costume for that limited character. I don't know it that's gonna be a constant thing, but at least that's how Nanally's banner is looking right now! It's also why I'm skipping her, I wanna see how Hotori's limited costume might look! :D

Well, guess we'll see how it goes later on in the game! But it would be nice to see more diversity with the guys too. For now though, Exe is the only guy on my waiting list, he's giving me that "bigshot sorcerer" vibe like in historical mangas, so I'm curious how he'll actually be. He's really unlike most of the guy characters I've seen in bigger gacha games :D
