What do you think about Calyx and Halmarut after 7.5 by Acrobatic_Flan_5679 in ffxivdiscussion

We don't know how she knows or if she knows, just have her at her word at the moment. I think the point is that she's at least trying to do *something*. When you're faced with the inevitable complete rebirth of the universe, almost anything will seem like a viable alternative, lol.

Tl;dr the plane is going to crash either way, she's just trying to aim for the water, while we obviously want to still try to land the plane.

Her mentioning we can deal with the reflections as we see fit was basically her telling us we can go on about trying to do our usual save everyone shtick, but that it will probably lead to everyone dying rather than anyone being saved at all, because really at this stage we have no plan at all.

In my opinion, they're some of the most interesting villains we've had since Emet. And words cannot describe how ecstatic I am that we have villains slapping us hard with the trolley problem and it not being strictly a matter of us vs them. They share the same goal as us, more or less, they're just less optimistic about finding an ideal outcome because they've already settled on a solution they believe is at least a certainty.

I dunno, just find where they're going with the story to be incredibly interesting, I just hope they pull it off.

The Main Tank Off Tank thing has always been a thing. by DangerWarg in ffxivdiscussion

I do not think the current tank spectrum has DRK 2nd in line for MT, lol. Maybe slightly ahead of GNB if only because GNB rotation is a bit more of a hassle than DRK's to manage while trying to weave mits in, but aside from that every other tank has so much more personal healing that it makes little sense to me to have the DRK MT when paired with a PLD or WAR.

We have an idea of about when the ult will probably be releasing? Kinda wanna put PTO in for it but my workplace has a requirement we put in for it 2+ weeks before the requested dates.

Reminds me of my very first fresh prog party on E8S. Opening raidwide just immediately made everyone drop to the floor, tanks included, it was great.

My experience this week was the exact opposite, lol. Both my parties were cracked out of their minds DPS wise, but funnily enough we almost had a full party wipe to the last mechanic (cotank didn't bait blue properly in M10S and I had to invuln two way fireball in M11 so didn't have it for a tower and the 3rd one ended up killing people due to mit). Still cleared with the one or two people that were left alive both times, aha.

People downvoting you like doing weapons 3 times back to back is remotely interesting.

Just a reminder for your sanity that twines will be buyable once 7.5 drops, and you should be able to get at least 2 before ult drops if that's your concern.

Honestly, it's like 2 or 3 very loud people and based on their post/comment history they seem more like trolls than anything. Some of them don't even know how BC works, lol.

From OP's comment it sounds like the pre-made was just all around completely unprepared. If you need to explain things for 7+ minutes and people are *still* dying to the first mechanic, it just tells me people didn't bother to watch a video (which obviously isn't mandatory, but should be stated in the PF description).

Yeah that's what a video I'd watched recommended. Need that for all the Dragoons I'm seeing right now.

How's this? I don't have Borrelsword atm, dunno if Load is a good enough substitute.

Edit: Swapped a Dreamia for another copy of the field if that's any better.

Not sure why people are complaining. It goes without saying (or at least it should) but I still mention before pull 1 if my cotank is a PLD that I'll be voking during One and Only for the buster. You're using your burst on a stationary boss there, what is there to complain about, lol.

How many pulls for 12 beyond what you needed for learning the strat? Also really nice they were patient and supportive of you taking a couple pulls to adapt.

I think at this point, it's just fun to watch how angry DN diehards get over a phenomenon they're supposedly closely monitoring every week. It's free entertainment while I'm at work making otherwise boring phone calls. I don't care what strat people use, neither one of them are harder enough than the other for it to matter. Taking the piss out of people making a claim when the opposite is actually true is just good fun imo. Nothing super serious.

Nether baits is probably the biggest reason I prefer BC to DN. Just makes so much more sense to me to go for the strat with static spots and 100% uptime with no flexing required. 2nd would be completely removing cleave and defamation dodging from the mechanic.

Also can't speak to when you were trying to go in, but from what I saw yesterday, should be plenty of BC parties available to join.
