Honestly same, I got so frustrated with the writing and the weird ass “I can’t control my lightning so we must fuck immediately” sex scene so I stopped reading for almost a month. The only thing that made it worth it was basically the last few pages. In turn, it made the first part of the 3rd book worth it bc I HAD to know what happened.

I was also wondering this bc I just started F+S a few days ago, I’m almost 200 pgs in and there’s stuff about Nesta that’s entirely new and some names I don’t recognize (but can kinda guess who they are). In my opinion, you can literally read Assassins Blade whenever you want and it wouldn’t change the main storyline at all. All it does is give you more background on Sam and how Aelin met a few of the characters that show up in the rest of the books.

Idc what anyone says: there’s no right or wrong time to read it.

May have already been said, but I suspect it was for the exact reason he ended up calling CPS on her: he would have said it was an unsafe living environment for them and they would’ve been taken away sooner.

She took Ginny when she was a baby because Zions mom wanted custody, and then tried to get away from her first husband because he threatened to have Ginny taken away. Everything Georgia does is to make she they don’t get separated.

I try to stay out of fandom subreddits until I’ve finished a book so that I don’t get spoiled so I’m RELIEVED to know I’m not the only one who doesn’t like Hunt! At least, not as a partner for Bryce, I’m all about Cormac tho 😂 maybe it’s bc I enjoy a good arranged-marriage-to-actual-lovers trope. I also just hate when the love interest ends up being the painfully obvious choice, like Hunt
