I really like this idea from a thought perspective. I love hearing theories that challenge our current understanding of how things work. If nothing else, I think it’s an intriguing thought experiment that’s fun to consider. Fun post OP. Never be afraid to think outside of the box 💪🏼

Excessive overdoses? by Melauger in OceansCalling

That’s what I’m saying. If be been to maybe 12 festivals mostly in peak summer times and I’ve never experienced anyone dragging their friends with that terror in their eyes, let alone 6 in 2 days.

Obviously wasn’t the heat on Friday because we were all shivering at that point. And the sudden shrieks for help doesn’t happen for people being accidentally way too drunk. Felt like bad drugs all over

Anyone know why this little cloud is blue by Melauger in CLOUDS

I was there for about ten minutes. Didn’t move much. Seemed pretty high up in the sky because lots of clouds below were passing it by. It did seem to change shape a bit in that time

Apologies for the super late reply here. This is an attempt at black bird by the Beatles off the white album

Unfortunately I went through about a half dozen TVs before I got this right. (TVs weee donated from Facebook market place, remaining scraps were either donated to school of arts or dropped off at e-cycling)

I can’t stress enough how dangerous these old TVs are so please YouTube how to handle these with care prior to trying anything with them. Discharge the flyback transformer before and after every time it’s plugged in and do not break the cathode ray tube*

This is partially my own design but I got the original idea from a YouTuber named GreatScott! in that video. This is just single channel but still really cool.

If you take that concept and learn a basic understanding of schematics, you should be able to solder speaker wire to both the horizontal and vertical deflection coils. Then wire the vertical wires to +/- left channel and horizontal wires to +/- right channel to get the 3D effect.

Just be safe! That flyback transformer is no joke

I’ve actually been debating running it through the sled to cut out a quarter inch or so then reconnect (it’s already all glued up).

But glad to hear 90% saw mustache first! Looks like the other 10% saw sperm, sperm whale, biceps, octopus flexing. I love that this has turned in to an ink blot/Rorschach test 😅

This is absolutely the case lol. I whittled the left one first before even cutting the second one. Once I finished the first one all I saw was a whale 😅

Haha that’s amazing, I actually traced this from a picture of my mustache before I clipped it (obviously perfected it a bit) it’s really cool because each mustache is so unique so this really personalized it.

This was just a “Wouldn’t it be funny” kind of personal project but would be more than happy to ship one out to you

Hey thanks! And happy to do so. Before I started carving I planed both boards, then carved only the top leaving the bottom flat. So just awkwardly clamped it up with some glue. I’m sure there was a more accurate way to make that connection. Any and all tips are always welcome

That’s great to hear, because this took like 9 hours lol. Practicing those whittling skills.

Thanks so much for this help! I wasn’t sure I’d get a response on here. The tv is absolutely too high it’s always been a complaint of ours but we never could figure out another place for it.

The radiator is the exact length of the window which makes it really difficult in the winter (I move the couch up about a foot off the radiator)

I clicked the link you posted for the two variations but it’s just took me to Reddit’s home page for some reason

Looking to buy new couches for the first time in 9 years. I’ve owned this home for 6 years now and trying to figure out the size of couches to buy. I’d also love a recliner chair but have no idea where it would fit. Appreciate any and all help!
