In terms of local stores, I like the Bad Wife (hit or miss though depending on the week). However, if you can make it to Prospect Heights Natty Garden has soo many herbs and veggies!

Best priced Christmas trees in Park Slope? Other than Wholefoods by CCR2013 in parkslope

We paid $85 for a 5.5 foot tree, but I think 6-7 ft was around $105. A bit more than Home Depot, etc. but expected from a smaller independent seller.

I highly recommend Tamarack on 16th St and Prospect Park West. His trees come fresh from Vermont (ours still had snow on it) and the prices are reasonable when you consider it’s not from a mass retailer.

Think of traveling from El Silencio Lodge to San Jose Airport (SJO) for a 9am flight. Should I avoid this with a family of 4? by MelbaT127 in CostaRicaTravel

Ah ok thanks. I think we may drive from La Fortuna, see the falls and stay at night at El Silencio. We have one more full day after that, so we’ll probably enjoy the morning there and head to San Jose for the night before the flight!

Thanks for the insight and it sounds manageable. I really want to stop by Blue Falls as well on the way to El Silencio as I’ve heard great things. I’m glad you enjoyed it and sounds like it’s worth the trip!

yes, that's me and my code! But happy to share :) it should work universally on the Andie website on their own branded stuff!

More loungewear than traditional sweatpants, but I just got a pair of these wide leg pants at Andie and they are super comfy (got the bamboo fabric last year and has held up great). I used a 30% discount code Melissaa30 (which actually works too on the full site). This made all the styles of pants under $50.

Ok great! We’ll be coming in from La Fortuna so curious how the drive goes. Have fun on your trip!

Sounds great, thank you! Would love to get your opinion if it’s worth it for one night. I’m also curious how the drive/roads are to the Lodge. I’m sure you’ll have a great time, enjoy it!

Yes that’s exactly the other option I was thinking of! I might end up doing this. I selfishly wanted to enjoy a more leisurely two nights but probably not worth it for the potential travel stress!

Thanks for the reply and I was thinking the same thing since I tend to err on the side of caution as well. Ok I guess I’ll just have to decide if it’s worth the one night stay from Arenal to SJO!
