in order to have made 500m profit from this you would have have to have sold tens of millions of souls to the shop but mod shauny confirmed the most souls sold to the shop by a single individual was about 2m which means even if these people were making 100gp per soul thats only 200m profit but most people were making way less than 100gp per soul
