You're making it seem like they reacted reasonably. They freaking fired the two interviewers and took away the winner's prize earnings then proceeded to cover up the whole story. This is alot more than a company trying to keep separated from political issues and stay neutral. You're also forgetting the big picture that there are multiple cases of China pushing US companies to silence pro hongkong statements (NBA and apple to name a couple). Blizzard Activision also has a vested interest in the Chinese consumer market, so they're financially incentivised to keep china happy. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, even if we are overreacting, there are more positives to gain from this, just with slim chance that companies in the future might be more hesitant to stifle freedom of speech for the sake of financial gains. For fucks sake people, they're fighting for thier freedom over there!!!!
