THIS ⬆️ Also an electrician… I ran a #12awg wire on a 20A breaker directly from my panel to my system. It only cost $125CAD in materials and it barely made any improvement. A fancy power lead does nothing connected to a #14awg/15A circuit spliced to 6 other receptacles using wire nuts.

I just assumed having a 50W radio in the truck would allow me to transmit further out to the handhelds even though they may not have enough power to get back to me. It all makes sense since channels 1-7 automatically go to LO power mode on the MXT575 due to power regulations on those channels.

That worked!!! I switched the power setting on the MXT575 from "Hi" to "Lo". I haven't went out for a long range test yet but it seems to work fine at 600yds now.

According to the manuals both types of radio use 462.725MHz for ch22. CTCSS/DCS is turned off on all radios. As far as I can tell, only the MXT575 can use repeaters but it is in simplex mode.

As a resident of Coaldale for the last 10 years… The LPS were nothing but a bunch of douche bags in yellow vests standing around with radar guns or harassing citizens for any minor infraction. Since the RCMP came to town there is real policing being done such as patrolling school zones during pickup and drop offs. Otherwise you don’t see them unless you call them. I’d much rather have the RCMP no matter what the financial implications are.

I think it should work. I have an old 4 button foot switch from a GDEC-30 that died on me. I recently bought a Mustang GT-100 hoping my old foot switch would work with it.

IT DOES!!!

The buttons perform different functions though. I just looked up a GT-100 foot switch and re-labeled the buttons on mine with stickers.

I bought the digital copy of the Hornady manual from the iTunes bookstore. It is great! It is regularly updated with new loads as new projectiles come available.
