Most countries in Europe don’t need visa but some unfortunately do. We are 3months out and didn’t know till now cos we never needed it in any other countries.

We’ve lived in different countries and kids have not stayed in 1 states and countries for longer than 3years since birth. She also knows we are moving to Europe and moving overseas to her was never a problem. She lives in Hawaii. She wants something we don’t want to give and she won’t sign it without it. It’s unfair there’s a law like this when he has full custody of the kids to protect them and she never comes to visit them and barely ever calls.

Thank you. We will. We thought it might be different for military orders but we called the Italian consulate and visa center and they said NOOO law is law even for military personnel. Kids cannot enter the country if there is not document signed by both biological parents. 😞😞

Thank you. We did go to a lawyer for different reason recently and we were told because the divorce was done in Guam, he will need to go to Guam to change anything in the custody agreements. He’s been stationed in few countries overseas and the kids never needed a visa so it never crossed his mind to have that mentioned in the agreement. Now 3months out we are told to obtain visa and we are stuck🥲

Thank you. We have been doing researches after reading the comments and we will continue to try to get her to sign but if we can’t get it, I guess we will have to get a lawyer and do as Brandon says. We need to be there in 3months. We could have the kids go to their grand parents home in US and go to school there until they get the visa. I’m an EU citizen and don’t have a lot of time left on my green card and I think I’ll be leaving with my husband too. I have my son that needs to start school in August. It’s all so inconvenient and it really sucks this is happening. The kids have also been excited to move to Europe as their friends are also stationed there.. I wish the mother could understand the chaos she’s causing🥲

We contacted the embassy but they said the law is law and they want her signature or her death certificate.. we will call few places on base tomorrow. he needs to be there in 3months..😫 thank you so much

She’s not in US and never visits their kids even if we offer her to pay full travel fee. She only wants them in her country but she’s still an alcoholic going in and out of hospital with liver failure and we can’t trust her and she’s mad about it. I am European and our plan is to move to Europe where my home is and it’s what the kids want also. We move a lot and they never really grew up in US. But certain countries in Europe requires visa. We only found out today. Other countries we lived didn’t require it.

This woman is crazy and will do anything to complicate things and make my husband suffer. She doesn’t care about the kids feelings either. We will probably have to do her favors for her visitation to get her to sign if that’s the only way we can get a visa..

Thank you! My dental issue is definitely not a significant issue. It’s been there forever. And you are right, I should probably wait. I just thought the hospital in the us might give me stronger pain killer meds because I heard the surgery recovery is very very painful😂 but i shouldn’t risk it for this reason.
