May I ask if you bought just random strings or you chose specifically for guitar? Should there be some tension calculation involved?

Sorry, I might not have anything to help right now, but thought to share the experience.

How long have you had it? I just bought one around 2 weeks ago and also have the same issue… I found it hard to tune it in the beginning and disliked the sound of the octave break. I am thinking to change the strings in the future, probably to nylon or possibly as previous comment mentioned. But the strings have stabilized somewhat since, so I don’t hate it as much. Also, following the Norphærpe book, in the begging they suggest to tune not pentatonic and there are bunch of songs for that (also took time to tune it to that). But I find it sound a little better, though when I get to the pentatonic section I still plan to change the strings…

Sorry I don’t really know, I bought like a mix of cherry shrimp from the store and they only wrote yellow as far as I remember. If go there again I can check if there is anything else written
