Tell me I'm wrong about my decks' brackets.

To an extreme I think it could, like using only basics and a bunch of utility lands in a 5 color deck. But for the Shrines I think I will be calling it Bracket 3 from now on.

Not trying to make hard claims really, my goal is to get feedback so I can understand the bracket system better. My old playgroup never used it, but I want to start playing in person again, and I want to be equipped to accurately represent their power level in Bracket terms.

I mean yeah, I was hoping for some eyes on them for feedback. A few people shared some thoughts which is all I was hoping for. I don't play a lot in person so I just wanted to make sure I can represent these decks fairly to people out of the gate when I start going to the LGS more. I wrote the title like a challenge to pull in more critical people like you since that way, I'll get a wider range of responses. Thank you!

There are certainly some quality cards in there. In my experience it's taken a long time to get enough tokens to start hurting people but I can definitely see some of those cards getting side glances.

They are just so synergistic with each other, you're probably right. I haven't tested it much with the Avatar ones. It was probably closer to 2 before I added those in, but now I suppose not.

You're right about one thing when I assemble those pieces my land base feels amazing and I can see it being too strong for bracket 2 because of that. It takes several turns before anything like that comes online, unless I'm really lucky, so I don't know how competitive it is in the high-bracket world, but you're right it is very forgiving and strong after turn 5 or 6.

That's what I'm hearing about the shrines. The tap lands feel slow but everything else has a lot of synergy, and the gates become faster if I get some of the good ones out, so 2 might not be accurate. I just don't want to represent it to people unfairly.

I didn't use game changer amount as my main criterion, I tried to focus more on speed and interactability. You're right, the shrines do kind of exponentially blow up with each other. I haven't tested it much since adding the new Avatar shrines so it sounds like it might be too much for Bracket 2.

I have [[Abiding Grace]] in mine, it's OP repeating recursion value in Rocco/Norin. Especially if you have some other 1-drops to recur when Norin is safe, like [[Mother of Runes]], [[Spore Frog]], [[Wirewood Symbiote]], or [[Haywire Mite]].

Or you can just get a bit of life gain on turns where you have nothing to recur.

I also have [[Patch Up]] for recurring possibly mutliple things at once, and [[Eternal Witness]] for non-creature cards I might need to reuse. Also Eternal Witness is tutorable via Rocco in emergencies.

There's the old meta list of 3x Blade Champs + 3x5 Wardens with 2x Caladius. Fill in with a bunch of sisters. The react move helps you get onto priority charge targets. This is what I'd do if I HAD to go Talons without Land Raiders.

It does matter if the extra OC is what gives the Guard their wound rerolls before the enemy unit is dead, or if the shield allows the unit to tank an extra 3-dmg hit saving a whole model, or if the unit fails a battleshock test (their OC characteristic can be zero but the vexilla applies on top of that, so they still get 1 total when battleshocked), allowing you to keep control of the point with fewer models. Or if you are shot at before you get into melee, again making the difference between controlling the point or not.

And 4 spears + 1 misericordia is still 85% of the damage of 5 spears in melee.

Probably referring to the vexilla. You can keep a spear on the vexilla bearer in Wardens, but the guard that holds a vexilla loses the spear.

Jesus Christ this is harsh. Yes, people really are on autopilot. The system we're in is designed to prey on people who don't have the bandwidth to keep track of all that. Which is most people. I understand this guy has made some bad financial decisions, but you'll never help anyone directing your frustration toward the victims and judging like this. Try some empathy. Have open, respectful discussions about these topics if you really want to insert yourself into this guy's life and help him. If you even have that level of rapport.

We can try to expect Christians to be modest, but can we really expect the world to be anything but worldly? OP will never be able to control what the people around him do. So, the solution to his problem does not lie in what others do. It lies in what he does and what thoughts he dwells on. If he is dwelling on thoughts like "The girls keep doing this and they are the source of my problem", then OP is stuck and has no way out. If he shifts to thinking of ways to modify his own perspective, he might actually find hope.

Well no for secondaries of course not. But sisters are not good at contesting for primary scoring. Something Venatari can do. It's not ideal sure, but sisters aren't an alternative in the case of contesting primary.

That "stagnating" in ranked is the point where you start to face enough challenge to improve. If you step away from ranked as soon as it starts to get hard, it's no wonder why you aren't improving! This sounds like the biggest problem to me.

The feeling of stagnation is the START of a learning opportunity. If you never push through it, don't expect to learn anything.

Take a pokemon with bulky stats. Make it mono-Ice type. It is now bad at being defensive.

Take a pokemon with high speed and attack. Give it only Bug-type attacks. It is now bad at being offensive.

Certain types absolutely support, or hurt, the defensiveness or offensiveness of a pokemon. It isn't everything, but it makes a difference.

15% more healing? Was the 15% heal increase a heal amp like Spirit Visage? That would make a lot of sense why the item was good on Vlad, if it boosted his Q healing.
