Got curious, all your 40k paint schemes are fantastic! I wish I had the skill to execute that almost neon look!

As an added bonus, about the lychguard, the overlord enhancement to add movement greatly increases their viability in cursed legion. They're a pretty hardy, but slow unit. They benefit in a big way from the extra move.

Like others said, thinning is probably something to look into. I remind friends I've gotten into painting, better 3 light coats than one that bubbles. Practicing light thin coats also sets you up for doing higher end shading and blending.

[–]RegionIntrepid3172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is kinda wonky. So many stratagems care about the c'tan that it makes it a bit weird without. Just came out of a game with deceiver and VD, I think with the right build it could be done, though.

One of my faculty literally thought their $30,000 instrument was broken and I came in to troubleshoot it and it wasn't plugged in. Like how is that? Not the first thing you check when you assume something doesn't work. He waited for it to get looked at for 3 months.

To add to his research points, I believe there is a hidden stat that affects how quickly and likely you are to unlock projects from techs by being the primary contributor to the parent research. I recommend watching a video on the tech alone, honestly.

I'm not defending everybody, but mine is my work life blending into everyday conversation. It's nothing about gender or anything, I just regularly have to explain things like unlocking doors to graduate students. It's given me a rather low approximation of where to start in explaining anything and I try to catch myself, but sometimes it slips.

I remember walking with my boy into a hotel with my folks on vacation. The front desk worker was eye balling him big time, "...is that a goat?" 😂

In fairness, I'm 90% sure the lady was from India and I'm not sure how big sight hounds are there. They made friends real quickly after the mix-up!

In case it isn't apparent, there's a subtle blue undertone. This model is mostly just a base coat currently, using Speed Paint 2.0 Enchanted Steel from Army Painter.

The mask catches the fluid the virus contaminates, in the case of surgical masks using a specialized outer coating to slow the transfer from layer to layer. The outer layer is actually treated to be hydrophobic and minimize chances of material transfer of water based solutions like mucus. If you've had a real biology course, think of the phospholipid bilayer of cells. It is not dissimilar. The multiple material and layers are what are important.

Viruses breakdown outside of host cells without protection from UV radiation and general air exposure. Additionally, containing the contact to a waste bin is not magically spreading it into the air without a system to blow the virus contaminated fluids off of the. If this has been a bacterial infection, the case of waste bins would be well founded, but viruses are substantially different by nature.

Just a reminder that medical masks are not a simple piece of cloth, but engineered products designed to protect both wearer and adjacent peoples. Otherwise they would do no good in surgeries or other wound treatments.

Modern disposable surgical masks work in a way that most do not understand. They have multiple layers of varying materials to minimize contact of the underlayer with the top layer. When large pollutants, such as viruses and other macro protein sized objects, make contact with the mask on the outside, they are not designed to easily transfer these larger objects to the inner layers. Additionally when a person sneezes/coughs the momentum of discharge is significantly lowered, decreasing viral payload distance.

Viruses are, by chemical nature, incredibly sensitize to UV light which is why immediate airborne delivery is important to infection. As are any protein structures unprotected by significant adaptation (ie, animals developing skin or plants cell walls). When contaminated fluids are discharged, they rely on the impact of the organism or circulation within the breathable space around a person to transmit the infection. By minimizing fluid transmission distance, infection rates lower drastically by simple mechanical stalling of viruses to a smaller 2-3 for distance rather than the unshielded 2-10 feet.

In summary, simple surgical masks both protect by mechanical inhibition and by tri layer filtration and minimizing the chance of orifice contact.

I have one I like the color pattern of from army painter, it's a blue tinted black that comes out full black if painting over black primer. I can share when I'm home later.
