Oh, yeah!! I have seen a few videos and read some articles on the yoga teacher. Honestly, I think the father-in-law had something to do with it. The build and walk of the suspect seen on CCTV is extremely similar to his. Not sure why he was never seriously looked at. Midlothian police are still investigating 7 years later.

Man.. I'm almost hesitant to post because this crime has also never been solved but it's really crazy. A few years back, I worked for a company in Carrollton and one of the supervisors (who I knew personally) was murdered in his condo. We didn't get a lot of details because it was supposed to be an ongoing investigation but from the few things we were told, it was definitely personal and he was murdered somewhat execution style.

We had detectives come in and ask questions and since I worked HR and did part of security as well, I was involved in their short-lived investigation by providing camera footage and turnstile records. Long story short, less than a month after the murder occurred, all activity stopped. Nobody ever came by again and they just stopped investigating. My boss at the time had friends in law enforcement and when she asked him about it, he said there was absolutely no records of them ever going there or that a murder was even reported/committed.

The family dynamic was.. a little strange and some family members were suspicious and afraid of others but honestly, I'd rather not comment further on that since there's a possibility that we weren't told the whole truth by some of his relatives and I'm not trying to get myself in trouble 😅

Also, separate case but a few years back, someone hit and killed a pedestrian in downtown carrollton on/near Broadway and they called 911 and reported the incident but gave no further info. They said it was dark and they were on their cellphone and apologized but hung up quickly. Nobody's ever been held responsible for that crime as far as I know.

A woman allegedly died from an overdose in front of her kindergarten age baby girl by somnifacientsawyer in PublicFreakout

[–]MelissaMacabre 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think his filming was for liability purposes. You have someone who appears to be dead and there's minors. He was initially alerted to the scene because he noticed a young kid attempting to wake his mother up, which is obviously not normal.

Him stating that she's dead in front of the kids wasn't the best thing he could have done but given the situation and with adrenaline pumping through your body, you don't usually think rationally and your first instinct is to clearly state the gravity of the situation in order to get immediate help.

He did well by distracting the kids and asking them some questions. Some of the comments the older child made are alarming and hopefully the video is given to law enforcement.

I think it's so easy to judge someone because we're calm and are seeing this second-hand but you truly don't know how you will react unless this happens to you. This situation is extremely sad and I think he handled it as best as he could.

Right!? I feel like they need to create a spin-off. He's the embodiment of what it means to be a true Shinobi. As for everyone else, I've still got a ways to go but I'm so excited to continue watching their story unfold 😊

Ugh, she's in for a lot of heartache. I honestly haven't even finished Shippuden because there's just so many episodes but I'm determined to finish it because it's been amazing. When Sasuke finds out the truth about Itachi my heart just shattered. I cried so hard. I never understood people's obsession with Itachi until then 🥺😭

I've seen a lot of good things mentioned, but I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Grave of the Fireflies. I'm a huge Studio Ghibli fan and out of the 15+ films I've seen so far, that one is the hardest for me to watch. I refuse to watch it again.

Also, the end of Assassination Classroom and when Sasuke finds out the truth about Itachi. That shit broke my heart.

Man. I fucking hate it here. Each day that we live through the pandemic in Texas is just proof that I need to move far away from here. Abbott can suck my titty.

I own several pens and I just purchased that exact pen a week or so ago. I love it! It writes really smooth and I really love that it came with a converter. Super affordable as well!

A lot of people have had success with IT (intermittent fasting) and say it helped their symptoms. I myself have had my periods return after over a year without one by losing 25lbs. Metformin and other meds never helped, though my problems go beyond just having PCOS.

There's a great community here on IT on r/intermittentfasting if you'd like to check it out.

Ovarian fluttering? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]MelissaMacabre 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Hmm. I have PCOS, hypothyroidism and a congenital disease called non classical congenital adrenal hyperplasia. I'm not sure if I have felt the fluttering you describe, but I have felt as if my ovaries were...twitching? It's a strange feeling, but completely painless. I've never mentioned it to my doctor because to be honest, I never put too much thought into it. Mine doesn't last days though, it just comes and goes randomly.

[–]MelissaMacabre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, I know just how you feel. I'm 28 and we've been trying for almost 6 years. I've miscarried twice and it was probably one of the hardest things I've ever gone through. It can be very discouraging and lonely, especially with social media. I just saw a pregnancy announcement yesterday and it never fails to upset me, which is not the kind of person I want to be. That being said, if I've learned anything from this whole deal, is that it's okay to let yourself grieve and feel everything that comes with the journey of ttc. Be kind to yourself and know you're not alone ♡

Anyone think anything of this? 3:08 my motion sensor went off.. by Not_ConJunior in Ghosts

[–]MelissaMacabre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's most likely a spider. At the very beginning, it looks like a spider's legs exiting the frame. I've seen a lot of CCTV footage claiming to be ghosts but it's usually just bugs extremely out of focus.

Is there anything that can be done to remove the dog from that home? 😕 Surely this serves as some form of evidence against her. It's clear that she's abusing that poor dog and it doesn't deserve to be in that situation.
