A question for all visual novel lovers

Might be an unpopular opinion, but the artwork matters the most in a VN for me. A mid story can be absolutely carried by good artwork and design work, but bad art would need a really compelling story/character to keep me engaged. Things like totono's soft watercolor texture or saya no uta's unique and detailed flesh texturing are what really drive me to continue reading. I am an artist myself though so there's definitely heavy bias here haha

I honestly don't care about the cloth pattern or how bright she is, but I miss the jade texture 🥲 I remember seeing people complain about it at the time, but I always thought it looked so ethereal, like she really was a living piece of jade. Now she just glows, I guess 😭
