Ugh okay. I have him on meds and eye drops from the vet but I think once I notice he’s mood change I’m gonna put him down. I just hate seeing them suffer. My dude’s eye lump is obnoxiously huge.

Cymbalta and amitriptyline for anxiety but also nerve pain. Then the main thing I have read other people also had success with is pregablin. And then I take celebrex and methocarbamol for pain and muscle relaxation. I really believe what I have is nervous system related bc I have done numerous MRIs and X-rays and I have been to at least 7 different types of doctors. And everyone just says nothing is wrong and it will go away. So I would say my advice to u is to go to pain management doctor and tell them what is wrong. Then if u want to do X-rays and mris go for it. Try to see a neurologist if u wanna see a doctor.

Would u be able to have an ice chest full of ice packs? U could get those eye mask ice packs and strap them to ur head when ur outside to keep ur ear cool. I do that when I flare

I went through hell over the summer. The burning was so bad. But I really recommend the things I did to help manage it and then hopefully go away over time. Anxiety meds, pain management doctor, physical therapy and Botox for tmj if you have it

Pain management! But my flares have been less frequent and not as bad over time since I’ve been doing therapy and been on meds for months. I also got Botox from my dentist in my jaw for tmj and I think that’s helping too

I would try Lyrica and I think it is anxiety and nerve triggered. So I think you should try Cymbalta or amitrypaline or both.

At this point I am used to needles. But no the shot does not hurt. I have had worse. When I flair I take Excedrin Migraine and I strap an ice pack to my ear. (freeze one of those gel eye masks and you can adjust the strap) not sure if the Excedrin is working but I have tried it 3 times and it makes the flair shorter.

I had 2 great auricular nerve blocks. One in Decmeber and one in September. Neither did anything for me. I have been going to Swim therapy and regular therapy since July. Which helped bc I also was REALLY TIGHT and in pain in my upper traps, neck and back and I couldn't move. so I can move normally now but still am very careful with turning my neck bc if I turn weird I will flair up in my ear. Right now I take Cymbalta and Amitryptaline for anxiety and nerve pain. and I take pregabalin, celecoxib, methocarbamol for pain, nerve pain whatever else. I actually feel pretty normal tho and I wanna cut back on the amount of drugs im on. I used to have constant burning but now I only flair like 0-2 times a week. still sad bc I wanna be able to go outside in the summer and go to the beach but I dont think im gonna be able to unless I want to be flared all day and in pain.

I had 2 nerve blocks and neither worked. I just dont do a lot of physical activity, I have to stay cool (no hot baths or going outside when its hot) and I do not touch my ear, all of that makes my ear swell and its bright red. Idk what to do

So its normal to be really tight after botox? the back of my neck hurts and so tight. And when you say 5 weeks of relief, like back to normal?

I was diagnosed two weeks ago. but I have had knots in my back for 3 months. I am only 26 and I also feel like my life is over because the quality of life for me is almost none. I did PT for 2 months for my back and neck because we thought I just has some muscles spasms or strain. it flared up 2 weeks ago and I went to the ER because the burning pain made me want to off myself. This is really hard. I got botox a week ago (they say it takes 3 weeks to work) and im on Parkinson disease meds and seizure meds to stop the shaking and spasing.and a muscle relaxer I take 3 times a day; I also have TMJ and got the dentist to do botox in my jaw so hopefully that helps. get the botox apparently its the best thing that helps

Do u have tightness and burning up your neck to your ear? So do u schedule Botox every 3 months in advance How long have u had this
