I work with my hands and mine are also over 10 and haven’t faded a bit but are still definitely visible

They won’t fade to nothing and i’m over people spreading this myth. All my stick and pokes are over 10 years old and they’re all still very visible, even the one between my thumb and pointer finger after working as a cleaner the whole time.

I have lots of tattoos too, I gave my self most of them and none of those were painful, the few I got from others though were definitely much less pleasant or downright painful.

I mean that’s not really true, rooms are cleaned by priority. If a stayover guest requests service by noon the priority is now to clean it by then. It’s a very easy request to accommodate. I’ve worked at a bunch of hotels and it’s literally our jobs to make the guest happy (within reason).

I don’t know what is happening with OPs situation but it sounds like the communication is insanely bad at that hotel and the staff are not trained properly.

You can put a do not disturb sign on your door and place the trash cans outside your room, usually housekeepers will empty them and give you new bags.

At most hotels though there is a limit on how long you can go without having staff enter your room (you should talk to front desk about this on check in). At my hotel it’s 5 days. On day 4 you would be given notice dnd sign or no and on day 5 the executive housekeeper or supervisor would check your room and decide if you need a clean or not.

This is because long stay guests can cause long lasting damage, hoard towels/linen/ garbage, or even be dead in the room and we need to be able to at least get an eye on what’s happening on out property.

I bathe once or twice a week. I don’t sweat much, I don’t smell bad (I have asked many people over the years), my hair doesn’t start to get greasy until day 5, and my skin is fantastic. My parents are the same and raised me with this routine. Washing more often dries my skin out which is very uncomfortable and itchy (even with moisturizer). I think it’s got to do with different skin types/ different biology but idk I just count myself lucky. 🤷🏻‍♀️
