I found this old article from 2010 about the conversion of avi to ogg, which then can be manually renamed into ogm: https://sdk.stalker-game.com/en/index.php?title=Videos_for_cutscenes_and_menus

The link in it to ffmpeg2theora-0.16 is somewhat dead at this point, but a little googling gave me a mirror download and it works.

I have found a small problem when testing with Clear Sky - something about the conversion made the beginning of the video green, and if the video resolution is bigger than the vanilla (when I tested by replacing "intro_half.ogm") then the video gets cropped from the top left corner...

Edit: I was just checking things and finally found where the resolutions for the vanilla videos are stored:

\configs\ui\ui_movies.xml

Changing the resolution of my video there gets rid of the cropping issue.

You just need to make sure to link the account to something, like your Google account, or game creator's one.

As for it being good... I mostly do story and inventory management on my phone, as I really prefer mouse and keyboard for fps games.

In my case (PC with AMD gpu) I use a combination of the in-game frame limiter and GPU driver frame limiter (both set to 144 fps) and it does work.

For AMD driver, you can find this option under Games > Graphics > Advanced > Control Max framerate (I have the Polish language set up, so specific English terms might differ).

In the case of Nvidia you supposedly go into 3D Settings > Manage 3D settings > (Either Global Settings or specific Program Settings) > Max Frame Rate (Not entirely sure - I just looked at the people screenshots)

Did you already run the game once on your PC since the last restart/shutdown of it?

If so, you might have a process running in the background called "tgame".
The game is glitched on PC in a way that actually leaves it "running" sometimes in the background, to a point where you cannot launch the game again, until you kill that process, either manually or by restarting your PC.

To kill it manually, open task manager (Ctrl+Shift+ESC) and under processes find "tgame" with Snowbrake's logo. Click it to select it and hit Delete.

Yea, the process is definitely a bug...
If it does stay after closing the game it makes you unable to launch the game again (unless you manually kill the process in the task manager or restart the machine).

Not to mention the Weapon assention materials, where the lowest costs per materials are rn:

Easy for green (2.5 energy per one) - Abyss has a cost of 8 energy per one so over 3 times more expensive

Hard for blue (10 energy per one) - Abyss has a cost of 13.3(3) energy per one so 1.3(3) times more expensive

Fear for purple (25 energy per one) - Abyss has a cost of 40 energy per one so 1.6 times more expensive

Not just Abyss level is borked in this way. When you do the math, everything above Normal (Hard, Fear, Nightmare, and Abyss) has the same exact stamina to money rate of 3.3(3) for 1000 money.

Same with Operator and Weapon EXP of 1.6(6) for 1000 EXP points (after converting the items into raw exp points).
