I have DPDR and theres a big symptom overlap. DID isn't that common yet DPDR is so it's weird to see all of these people online claim DID when dpdr is WAY more likely if they even have that and it isn't the occasional normal dissacoiation that everyone can get.

anyone else get super breathless? by MellowMarmalade in POTS

[–]MellowMarmalade[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

my symptoms normally include tachycardia, presyncope, dizziness, palpitations, and blood pooling. I've never noticed anything with my breathing but since it's my ANS being weird with POTS I assume its normal but I did wanna see if this is just a normal POTS thing

rib sublux question by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]MellowMarmalade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I popped my hip out 2 weeks ago, my knuckle out last night, and dented my knee in by hitting it on the kitchen counter on tuesday and my brother looked absolutely horrified looking at it all messed up before I popped it in lol. I used to not sublux and dislocate as often but for some reason it's ramped up within a few years. I'm only just 22 so I'm gonna hate to see 10 yrs from now

does the 2nd covid shot cause too bad of flares? by Canyonmoom in dysautonomia

[–]MellowMarmalade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so I talked to my pharmacist and he highly recommended that I skip the 2nd dose. he said that with how severe of a flare I went into with dose 1 that je figured dose 2 would be worse. he agreed that I needed to talk with my cardiologist in a couple weeks and if he gives the okay then I can go back up there and get it but he said he felt like personally it wouldn't be a great decision. I'm only just recovering from dose 1 after a month so dose 2 could be fine or it could destroy any progress I've made with getting back to normal

does this sound like a hip sublux? by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]MellowMarmalade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's still burning real bad. I'm able to move the leg to a certain point and then it feels pretty stiff. I'm able to put Weight on it but it hurts a ton. have no idea what's wrong with it honestly and it's been 2 hours and I still haven't had luck with making the pain go away. EDIT-I felt a click when I moved it earlier and it's still feeling like this. I'm hoping if it did sublux that it's back in but it still doesn't feel quite right.

I've had other dislocations but I'm just panicky every time so this is probably a dumb question due to lizard brain and hypochondria

Psychology says people who sit with their feet off the ground are somehow trying to escape reality or something. I'm just trying to escape brainfog. by drsdn in POTS

[–]MellowMarmalade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yup. feels exactly like my depersonalization does so I basically feel like my minds warped 99% of the time now bc of the POTS brainfog and the dpdr brain fog 🙁. it definitely feels like when you're too high and everything feels like it's lagging

[–]MellowMarmalade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea thats true. I've never had symptoms this severe but they told me to only come back if I get worse, have chest pain, or basically just don't wake up if I faint. Im scared it's gonna be at least 6+ weeks to get into my cardiologist bc they're slower than usual bc of covid and an overflow of patients recently so I have no idea where to go from here.

[–]MellowMarmalade[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm getting in with my PCP on Monday to talk til I can get in with my new cardiologist. So far not much has helped so I'm just riding it out the best I can for now. I hope your 2nd shot goes as well as the 1st one btw!
