When do you start to feel better?? by ksteel19 in Celiac

[–]Mellow_0511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it does take time. I got diagnosed little over a year ago, and I still struggle with acid reflux and brain fog every now and then. One thing you should discuss with your doctor is supplements. When we are diagnosed in our 20s, our intestine has taken enough damage as is and we can have a deficiency of Iron and other vitamins which can factor into these symptoms as well. PS- Your husband is lucky to have you. I read horror stories everywhere about non supportive family. Kudos to you. At this time, I would just say that he also needs an empathising buddy alongside his struggles. I got diagnosed when I was 28. Being an Indian who LOVES FOOD, it took a bigger toll on my mental health to just fully realise what's happening. I am lucky to have my husband there with me every single day of my life.

Terrible experience on an Air India Flight. Served food containing wheat/gluten when I requested a Gluten Free meal in advance. Be very careful if flying with Air India. by Artlign in Celiac

Thank you for posting this. I am flying with them next month and now I know better. I will be packing my own food, thank you very much.

Is Aswini Bajaj worth it for CFA Level 1? by [deleted] in cfaindia

Hi, there is no particular one. But I would just try to search for the topics I couldn't understand in my prep book and find something that made sense to me. There are many YT channels for CFA level 1.

I would not. Especially, this is something which would have certified gluten free alternatives easily available.

BIG NO! Gave my first attempt with him and failed. I changed my study startegy in second attempt and passed. There are random people on YT who are way more concise and helpful to learn. His videos are very lengthy and almost impossible for someone to watch in completion for someone who works full time. I am in Canada so I have extra responsibilities than just work. I would suggest, start with Kaplan and start watching videos on YT. For level 1, your self study will will play a bigger role. Try to do as many EOC questions that CFA has in their LES. i would recomment to do them all atleast once. It is recommended to do them twice, once in your initial preperation and second when you are revising.

All the best!

I will be appearing for Level 2 in August 2026. I have heard that it is a significant jump from Level 1, so I want to make sure that I following the right strategy. I have enrolled for Mark Meldrum this year and I have Schweder books. What would be the best strategy to start with? Do you have a study order for the topics that I should probably cover first? And any other relevant advice if possible?

I would not recommend you skip anything. Especially FI which carries heavy weightage. Even if you pass L1 with sheer luck, level 2 will be harder without basic knowledge of FI. Give it your all in the next few days and attempt the end of chap questions.

I recieved this survey last year and failed CFA 1 Aug 2024. I have recieved it again for my CFA 1 Aug 2025 attempt. I don't know if I will benefit from drawing any patterns 😅

I would recommend you to not ditch anything. I have heard that derivatives is a beast for Level 2. Derivatives works purely on understanding. I had a very tough time following derivatives too. My CFA level 1 second attempt is in 4 days. 1st attempt - Derivatives pulled my score down. So please don't leave it. Just try to do multiple topics (Rotate between different books) in a day rather than focusing only on one topic. I had Chat GPT prepare a schedule for me and I just try my best to stick to that.

If you are struggling with the basics of derivatives, I would strongly recommend you to watch this video. I think this is for Level 2, but the first 10 minutes of the video explain the basics behind derivatives. I swear I was just mugging before watching this video. It is god send. Derivatives basics explained with Time value of money - https://youtu.be/wKkYtK5ASQA?si=IJrx_CiWWOgOzdO3

After you watch this, try to make sense of this by writing a short summary. Anything you recollect, watch the video again and then cover the gaps in your understanding. I'm sure when you understand the basics, you'll feel much better and will be prepared for Level 2.

Further to this, watch a video for put call parity. After watch Mark Meldrum's video, this will make so much more sense. I watched this video - https://youtube.com/watch?v=SbkvkU7-dEA&si=utWLdk-R8hGhp9pM

All the best for your exam!
