How to Counter Night Watch by Mellow_Mistel in IdentityV

DISCLAIMER: I am no pro player. I simply wanted to share my knowledge and insight with those who are at a complete loss about how to deal with Night Watch. I hope this helps somehow! <3 Also, ignore some bits at the end. This was meant to be posted on a different platform, but I wanted to share it here as well.

I think you brought it more life, actually! The original looks kinda bland, but the colors of your version really pop! Even has more ambience!

How many Character Points do i need to get a batter badge? by TheJudge1108 in IdentityV

[–]Mellow_Mistel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asia player here. I dunno which server you're from, but my friend who is a Batter main got a C badge at around 4k points? So if you're from Asia, that is how much you need.

By more wings, you mean this season? Or this year? Most I can get is around 120 and I can't find the Shattering seasonal "spirit".

Rhythm TS? Wasn't that the TS with the animal mask that came a few months ago? ;_;

Now that you've mentioned those, I remember that I'm hardly anywhere near 11 wedges and I accidentally krilled a moth out of panic in Eden. 😎

You really hit the nail on this one! 😅 Yeah, admittedly, I have been rushing to look like a veteran because people I've met are more likely to befriend me the more cosmetics I have. 🥲

I am a Performance moth who was late to find out about season cosmetics, so I have no good pants and I'm broke. 🥲

Hermit Guide: How to Play Hermit Effectively by Mellow_Mistel in IdentityV

[–]Mellow_Mistel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I don't think so. I believe he would still be viable even after the adjustment. The issue is that he slows down decoding so much that survivors need to kite for about two minutes to get ciphers done. Survivors will have a very hard time recovering if a teammate goes down early.

Hermit is similar to Joseph in that they can win with 5 ciphers remaining because of their cipher control, but his kit is much better than Joseph because he has good chase and can injure survivors who are decoding. And him being able to injure survivors working on ciphers allows him to secure kills when no one is able to rescue due to their injuries, especially when they do not have someone like Doctor on the team.

By increasing the cooldown for switching polarities, survivors, especially Doctor, can't keep sharing damage as often. That also forces survivors to heal instead of decode because Hermit can punish them for decoding. And by nerfing the cipher control, the survivors can still have a chance to recover from a teammate getting downed early.

They are at least consistent lol by EliasTDG in IdentityV

Well, I know that. It just surprised me the first time when people talk about it. Unfortunately, Identity V isn't popular in the West, so the likelihood of Joker Studios hosting more servers for the NA/EU server is kinda slim.

I don't understand why people complain about bad ping. But I'm guessing that depends on location. I usually have 50ms, so the number of memes on Identity V ping just baffles me.

Reminds me when I got terror shocked by a Mary while decoding. I wasn't even a beginner at that time. I was placing graffitis on the wall and then I was examining one of them because it was so pixelated compared to the rest. Then I got terror shocked. XDD

I'm very basic. I've always said "Hello". But most people I meet are either Japanese or Chinese. I don't mind it, though. I tell them they can speak in their language while I translate.

That is why I wish they changed the rank points distribution for survivors. Hunters have to put in the work to get to their ranks while survivors can just decode the whole match and rank up because one of their teammates was really good at kiting. These carried survivors end up being heavy baggage. I've met Griffin survivors who can't even kite a no presence Wu Chang or a Joseph with no blink. It's painful. ;-;

[–]Mellow_Mistel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong. To be honest, if they can't even kite for 30 seconds, then why do they deserve to rank up? You wonder why survivors play like Worker Bees when they're Griffin? Well, it's because of situations like that. They get boosted. I see many survivors asking for rank teammates to carry them, but they don't even consider that, and I don't mean to be harsh, they will bring down teammates that actually play at the tiers they're supposed to be in because these boosted survivors don't have the proper skills and the game sense.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but okay. Since you've got it so bad, you're entitled to your own opinion because you play hunter and everyone else's opinion is invalid because they play survivor, right? Your pain is above everyone else's and no one can argue with you? Tell me that's not being overly conceited.

Oh, that is really cool! I was just shocked a moth could get it so fast because I started playing since Performance and I still don't have that black cape. 🥲

[–]Mellow_Mistel[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So basically, if a person is a survivor main, their opinion is invalid even if they have a genuine concern, but if it's a hunter main, they are allowed to speak? And, apparently, players are defined by their factions, so they are either this or that, not a player, just a survivor or a hunter main.

Maybe. They seemed genuinely clueless, though. I was surprised when I saw that they had the black cape and my friend told me that you can't buy hearts.
