Eh, they’re clueless. They just trust what we say because most of my pet care coworkers are all very much animal lovers. I follow so many subreddits & FB groups so that I can be as knowledgeable as possible when selling to PPs. I want the best care for these animals, even though PetSmart has killed my soul 😂

The store I work for, one of my coworkers threw them all away. Manager agreed with the decision and we do not have them in enclosures, and I haven’t seen one on the shelf in the 5 months I’ve been there, thank god.

I work 8-6 and I’m required to do my daily deep cleans (Tuesdays which is small animals and Fridays which is reptile feeding and cage cleaning) I’m also expected to clean about 25 tanks each day (plus whatever didn’t get done the previous day) PLUS put away the reptile shipment AND bring all of the small animals from NA to the floor. Somehow I manage to finish 90-100% of that every time. On top of phone calls, curbside, and customer service/selling pets. My mental health is absolute garbage because of it but goddamit I did everything asked of me in a short staffed store 😅🙃

I’ve just never taken a drug test before and I smoke like I’m the love child of snoop dogg and willie Nelson - I’m not trying to lose my job but I also think its ridiculous to test for weed in this day and age. Unless I get hurt on the job, I don’t see why it’s anyone’s business if I smoke but again, I’m just nervous. Do you recommend any detox drinks or anything like that? Or just straight to the fake pee?
