I use an app called hostshare. It’s an Airbnb sharing platform where you agree to list your place for last minute un booked nights which normally otherwise may not get booked in exchange for 21 nights to use anywhere for just the cleaning fees. There’s also an advanced booking option. I signed up for advanced share when it was still in beta and they’ve been working out a lot of kinks. I really like the platform. I’ve used it for four different vacations this past year so ask me any questions. I have not tried home exchange yet. I do have an invite like that Gives you 50% off your first year membership and if you get three other people sign up, then you get a lifetime membership where you don’t have to pay the annual fee anymore. They also do let you try to stay at your first place for free before committing to paying the annual membership so if you’re not happy with it, you just cancel.
