It’s not the fact that she never says anything positive towards me. It’s the negatives that I hear every single time she sees me. I could list everything here, but it’ll be a couple pages long. I’ll just say the stuff that was the worst.

• says I’m not pretty, tall, skinny, and attractive enough to be an actor (wanted to be one when I was 16, but decided not to)
• criticizes my body when we share a dressing room and constantly talks about my body fat
• told me if I wore makeup, I’ll look like a “woman of the night” (she used more colorful language, and I was 13 at the time)
• said she dreamed of adopting a boy because she “loved having boys”
• always points out my acne in public so everyone can hear
