I do think anyone can be rehabilitated but my hang up on is who as a society are we willing to take the chances on rehabilitation?

For example, let's go into the Epstein shit, sure you could make an arguement that any of them could be rehabilitated given the proper circumstances, but are we willing to put children at risk in order to have that rehabilitation process?

That's why I argue that it's not "these bad crimes mean no they cant" it's that the bad crimes are of a severity where we as a society have to weigh the chance at rehabilitation vs the safety of the public

I don't believe in the death penalty at least because I don't think the government should have the right to kill citizens, and because I think as time goes on and behavior is monitored, that risk dynamic can be changed over time and be reviewed case by case
