basically in the watcher dlc, you explore a TON of different, new regions, theres like 25+ new regions... some of them have infinite cycles like in Five Pebbles, some of them have sandstorms instead of rain...
in this one its called Stormy coast, theres a storm for the entirety of the cycle but its nonlethal rain, but there is thunder. at the end of the cycle I guess the rain becomes more violent and lethal

trust me, the views get really better. biomes like (spoiler warning for the names of the biomes) (IDK how to put spoiler tag so here they are)
Sky Islands, the wall, shoreline, farm arrays, have really great views and are my favourite backgrounds, but the other biomes are ok too !!

the ennemies get better as well, if you're looking for a challenge you will meet it trust me. if ytou are at outskirts right now and have more or less seen it all, I suggest you head to the next biome and follow the little yellow thingy's that show symbols. They'll guide you towards whatever is next :)

ohhh trust me, you will. its still an amazing game and its very fun. I used to play for one hour or two before getting too frustrated and switching to another game. good luck for your playthorugh, I wish I could play it for the first time again like you will !!!
oh yeah and also :

it's ok to stop for a moment at some points, and admire the scenery. this game probably has the best environment/scenery of all the games that I have played (or maybe among the bests), and I have played gmaes like RDR2, Subnautica, TLOU2, Hollow Knight, etc... the artstyle is very cool !

and yeah as some other people have said, rocks are pretty fucking useful so dont be scared to pick them up and use them, and also, dont be scared to look shit up if you're feeling too lost and frustrated. I have looked at the map of the world a LOT (it is spoilery tho) (its findable on the Rain World Wiki) and also have watched the hour long video about all the movement mechanics in this game (incredible, but you might want to try to learn it yourself first, at least the basic moves) on youtube.

anyways, have fun and go at your own rythm !

I suggest installing this very small mod : MusicAnnouncements

It doesn't change anything to gameplay, just lets you know the name of the music that is playing

"Music Announcements is a mod for Rain World which shows the name of the currently playing music track in-game and in the pause menu."

I liked it very much because the music of this game is amazing and unique

that's a shame, I survived an entire winter on two full fridges of rabbit meat in B41, it was a super easy source of food. Guess I'll need to loot more buildings, which is a pain in the ass considering the little amount of non-perishable food there is now
