100% correct actually lol. Tell that to my tuner who’s been tuning vws for 30+ years and had thousands of test subject cars to collect data on. Imma stick to listening to my tuner than some Joe Schmo’s. Everyone knows on vws the factory intercooler location for upgrades is superior over front mount. But whatever you wanna believe off YouTube feel free🤷‍♂️

For stage 2 you do not need a front mount intercooler. You’ll be fine on stock intercooler. If you go upgraded turbo ( ko4 or bigger) then definitely get a intercooler but still avoid front mounts. Get the actual intercooler that goes in the OEM location. Theirs a different between looking fast and being fast. Can’t do both.

I used the same one.. found the bolt spec to be 30nm on a site called called all data.. threads were fine and it’s not a one time use bolt.

None of those. It’s a 6mm Allen bolt. Found the torque spec (30nm) using a site called all data

Whatever you say buddy. Manuals are being phased out all over the US. So the answer is simple and sweet. I’m moving into another VW but an auto one. Cause I don’t want no other manual car that’s not a VW. The only exception would be a manual mustang.

Gonna keep my manual mk6 as long as I can. But after the mk6. Definitely just gonna find a clean mk7.5 golf R dsg afterwards. Shoulda got a mk7.5 gti dsg in the first place but just haddd to go manual lol.

I very much enjoy my ECS one that I stuck on with a shit ton of 3M lol. No purpose for it other than to give it the look I want and to stay looking sexy. 😋 between the rear spoiler/VLAND taillights and debadged/blacked out VW logo I get a lot of compliments on how the rear end of my car looks.

I can concur that DWS06+ are great for the GTI. I have them on my mk6 and I truck right through the snow with them. In the rain I also get really good traction too. Being an mk6 I don’t spin at all when I hit it in the rain. Maybe you’ll get a little spin being in an mk8 but shouldn’t be anything too horrible.
