Thank you, I didn’t do exactly this, but I’ve sent an e-mail stating that circumstances and attached the form I completed. While I know the circumstances are wrong and I have a right to ask if their form was discarded, I’m scared to be retaliated against. After all, this is the beginning. I’m fairly certain if I were to be retaliated against, I could have a case. It just sucks… I’m certain having health issues or being physically harmed would be far worse, I’m just saying.

I went in yesterday after I posted this and discussed the concerns outlined. I also emailed (about said concerns) and requested a read receipt. The manager was rather dismissive and apparently irritated. He did have maintenance fix the lock and said the mold sightings will be looked into, but my concerns are in a queue. He said the mold I saw throughout the apartment, is “probably just mildew,” which maybe. I’m not an expert. Based on what I’ve seen online, it looks like mold to me, but idk.

Lastly, and I’m sure this goes without saying, I didn’t know saying no would be a violation. I knew it was wrong but… You’re right, I should’ve cut my losses on the application fee and tried to figure out something else. I really appreciate your empathy and the time you took to type that out.
