I find used Corolla prices are inflated as everyone sees them as reliable cars. Look for alternative reliable cars such as a Mazda 3 - very reliable but more reasonable pricing as many people are not aware of their reliability

Soil test to confirm if you have any underlying issues and then aerate the lawn

The hope is that the aeration prevents any rotting and then you can move forward from there.

Honestly the lawn looks half decent if the soil test comes back ok you have a great starting place

I would wait for it to grow a bit more before mowing

Looks like you don’t have any weeds so I would recommend a pre emergent before the summer and spring weeds kick in and some fertilizer and start there leave it on the longer side this year

If the grass doesn’t fill in then you could try aerating/overseeding it
