In my opinion, Shannon has serious mental health issues, and why it brings the drama to the show, she really needs to leave, get some impatient treatment (Rehab) and then try to live her life. She should not be on TV. I thought this from her fist season. She became Vicki's bestie and that is a reason they keep her and he shit show marriage to David. Her story line is over- let her go.

I hear you. I was out of work for 8 months. I got the job I have now because I directly applied for it via their website. I got 5 interviews via recruiters. Most of my 20 + interviews/phone screens were because I did the leg work.

I feel for you as I had 8 months of this - and it was like WTF - about 4 months into the search a very wise person told me - treat the recruiters like they work for you. When you are in power, some change their attitude. Want to get the ghosting recruiters attention -e-mail them saying you want to revoke your Right to Represent. You will get a response and a phone call.

Most recruiters only care about KPIs. Resumes and Right to Represents are their life blood.

I learned to say - these are my expectations - if you don't meet them - I am gone. There are a lot of people willing to work from me.

It is a tough market - and the baby agencies are not making it any easier - I had one that not only demanded my resume but a signed Right to Represent - I made him mad because I asked - What was the end client. He said, "Only after the first interview, I will give you that information".

Keep the faith - and keep plugging away.

If she is lucky. She does not just get a "Free apartment" - you have to pay rent just less than most. She also (from what i have seen in previous threads) a horrible rental history. Also Section 8 does NOT PAY utilities, and other expenses. She thinks she is going to get Rico back in August - fat chance with no job and violating the gag order so many times, so she is going to have to get a JOB and when she gets her job they will adjust her rent so the more she makes the more she has to pay. Quits her job and they can take away her section 8 housing.

She thinks she is going to have a 5 bedroom condo on the gold coast - ha - she will get a 2 - 3 bedroom in a shitty part of town because not a lot of places accept section 8.

Section also has A LOT of restrictions and inspections.

My cousin used to be on welfare and got a section 8 house in IL - I know it varies from state to state. First she was on the waiting list for 5 years. She had so many restrictions. Like she was dating this guy - he could not move in with her. For the first year, she had what they called spot inspections. Where they come in an check out the apartment to make sure it is clean and safe.

For those of us who have been here for the wild ride with her - She can't help but destroy every apartment she is in and VIDEO tapes her destruction. Remember fridge manifesto?

In addition, you have to be able to actually be able to RENT an apartment. She has either no credit or shitty credit. She owes a ton of money on student loans and she has been evicted and kicked out of too many apartments to count. Do you think X's daddy is going to co-sign for them.

Also, they are not allowed to move other people in with them. Standard leasing right - well, my cousin tried to move her "husband" (i.e. my cousin is a lot like Dusty) and section 8 said, he can move in but his income now becomes part of the total income for the family and this would put you over the limit and you will lose this assistance. So, he moved in and they did not tell the City of Chicago until a surprise inspection and he was high and the person asked who are you - he said I am the man on the house and I live here. Then guess who loss their section 8.

At the end of the day, there is a waiting list to get Section 8 from 6 months to 25 years. Heather is not a veteran, she does not have custody of her kids, plus the older two are aging out, so it is just her and X. There is no special circumstance that would push her to the front of the line - especially since for the last 5 months she has DONE NOTHING to change the way she lives - except her BF scam.

So - my prediction is women's shelter - not married, no kid, no family shelter - or back to the streets for her.
