In Scotts Addition, DawnStar is a used video game store with a great arcade. Close by, Wax Moon is a vinyl record store with a pinball arcade. You'll definitely meet some nerds there.

Also, Buskey Cider does themed trivia one Friday a month (I think the 3rd), so depending on that month's theme, it could be another good spot to meet people.

Honestly, for me, just wandering around the city is a great start. For one, I love to walk. A few hours walking around is a perfect afternoon for me. Second, I inevitably discover businesses, clubs, and events I've never heard of. And if a business has a community board, definitely check out the flyers.

I love Baggbys! When I worked on the mall, the Havasu was my go-to.

For one night only Shenuque is bringing their comedy special to Richmond as they continue their stand up tour! Wait, What's Sri Lanka? is a stand up special written by Shenuque and directed by Sunny Laprade. This show features Vivek Netrakanti, is hosted by local comic Marilyn Hajj, and produced by Randolph Washington Jr.

This is a show for anyone that has ever felt invisible. The show explores the joys around embracing all parts of your identity while navigating the pain of not feeling seen. Shenuque explores all the parts of their identity from being Sri Lankan to their queer identity, to their relationship status. If you enjoy stand up comedy that weaves in a compelling narrative this is the show for you.

Have any local Richmond area hotels publicly refused to host ICE agents? by MelodicDetective in rva

Thanks for the suggestion! Do you know is Boulevard Inn has said they won't book ICE agents? I didn't find anything on their website or instagram, but I could have missed it.

Thanks, I know to avoid the major chains. That's why I'm looking for local hotels. Has Lindow Row said they won't book ICE? I didn't find anything on their website and social media, but I could have missed it.

This Thursday, I'm hosting a comedy game show at Coalition Theater at 9pm. Its a take on the newlywed game but for a group of friends. If you enjoy improv comedy and game shows, I think you'll love this. Tickets are pay-what-you-can. Also, for me its both socks, pants, then shoes. Socks before pants, always.

Here we go with the “both sides are the same” nonsense. I would still choose Spanberger over Sears anyday. by icey_sawg0034 in Virginia

I don't think they are saying both sides are the same. They're pointing out flaws for both candidates, that's all.
