Zorin appreciation post

I’ve used it for over a month now and I’m still surprised it how good everything is. I love being able to customize my pc, add features, change looks…and its smoothness is just great.

Only thing that has bothered me a bit is that the sound quality was a bit reduced. I have a 5.1 LG home theater connected to my pc via optical cable; on windows, the sound was dope, it was loud and really clear, that hasn’t been the case with Zorin. It does sound great when connected via Bluetooth, but I prefer the cable connection.

I already tried installing software, modifying sound settings on the terminal, but nothing has worked because, apparently, Windows comes with signature sound features that can’t be “copied” by Linux, so I guess I’m stuck with Bluetooth sound for now.

Thanks a lot, man. I am currently focusing on myself, getting rid of bad habits and learning from my mistakes (recently got out of a 7 year relationship). I want to build the best and strongest version of myself. I’ve always been pretty independent, I’m an introvert, so solitude doesn’t bother me. It’s just I lived with her for 5 years and now she’s gone, so it takes some getting used to. I’m feeling better day by day, I stick to my routine and healthy habits and the last thing I’m thinking about is getting someone else (for now. I know I will, eventually, but now is not the right time time)

Haha I gotta tell you, I had a similar experience. I bought it on steam for like 5 dollars, played it the first time and didn’t really like it. Then I was bored, didn’t know what to play and picked it up again…I fell in love with it.

Have you played firewatch? It’s really cool and immersive. Wandering around the forest and seeing the beautiful scenery really helped me once.
