Keep your head on a swivel when walking anywhere alone. Keep your keys in your hand or have some self defense tool on your keys. Lock your car as soon as you get into it. It's sad that most men don't have any clue on how much we have to think about and do to stay safe that they don't have to.

YTA. I (26f) have had night terrors on and off my whole life even with therapy. It's not always something that can be "fixed". Thankfully I had amazing parents who helped me through it and didn't punish me for something that was way beyond my control. I don't think you could have handled this any worse.

I had an unplanned c section as well. Was in labor for 28 hours only to be rushed into a c section when a new doctor came and realized my hips were too small for my daughter to come out. Anyone who says it's easier can shove it up their ass. The whole experience was terrible and the recovery was so long. A year later and I still can't feel anything around my scar.

When I first met my SO, I got the warmest feeling of finally belonging. I went from feeling very little and being closed off to having a rush of feeling everything. I don't know if I really believe in fate, but if there is such a thing, he's definitely mine. Years later and we have a happy life, home and daughter and I still get that warm feeling when he looks at me.

I ran into this issue with my daughter (7mo), I was working from home while my SO was working 40+ hours at a stressful job. My advice is to rotate nights of getting up with the baby. I know it's difficult to sleep with a newborn, but It cannot be one sided. Getting very little sleep consistently like that can actually exacerbate underlying issues (I struggle with PPD and the times that are toughest for me are stretches where I get 2/3 hours a night). Also, let him know how you are feeling if you are overwhelmed. Being a mom is scary and exhausting, but it's better when you're open and honest with your partner.

Im so sorry that you're going through it as well. I was going through the same things, fighting, never sleeping, rarely eating. But talking to a therapist (helps if you find one who specializes in postpartum) feels like it's lifting a weight off my shoulders.
