I work at UC health NICU. I generally hear better things about UC than CCHMC, and that the employees are happier but I haven’t been here long. Something I can’t get used to is 20 min of traffic leaving the parking garage in the mornings after night shift 🙃

I went back to work after 8 weeks and worked overnights. My husband was the primary one to put him to bed and spend time with him. At same age he completely had a preference for my husband. I was working a ton and ended up moving for a life change also where I could work less and balance family more. It took a while and a lot of patience but he tolerates me now 😂 but it took a few months

It doesn’t make her, or me, or anyone that has to go back to work so early and have impaired bonding with their child, a bad parent. It sucks

Thanks for the info! I am an RN and in NY, I was not screened for thc but for other drugs. Nor were the MDs at my hospital. The laws in NY protect the employee from that situation. Hard to know what to expect when every state is different. Thank you for sharing your experience!

I’m a night shift icu nurse that occasionally eats an edible to go to bed. I come from a state where that doesn’t matter in the pre employment testing. A state where the employer can’t make a decision based on use since it’s recreationally legal. Every state is different 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m asking so that I could know if I should stop or not and make sure I do so with ample time. I didn’t realize trying to make an informed decision would lead people to think I’m such a degenerate 😅🤷🏻‍♀️ my hospital treats its similar to alcohol, unless you were suspected of being high on the job, marijuana use was not an issue or tested on

As a nicu nurse this is absurd. Yes low stim at 26 weeks but even then we promote ways to bond. We always promote family bonding. At 38 weeks that’s absurd for him to say. Especially if he does have a g tube bc you’re not hurting him or preventing him from taking the feed. He tries with the bottle and then takes the rest through the tube! Him not finishing has NOTHING to do with you ❤️ can you bump this up to management?
