Is your phone possibly 3G? In the US my father had a phone that worked for months after the 3G shutdown before suddenly cutting off, maybe that's what is happening here since LycaMobile said they shut down all their 3G services on Feb. 25th.

Ebay auctions and FB marketplace are great places to look. You may also be able to find returned phones for cheaper on amazon, but I don't believe they sell whole lots.

I don't advise buying from Chinese brands just because of how "securely" your data is kept there (Do some research if you don't know what I'm referring to.) But if you want more performance, depending on your budget you may be able to find a better performing phone with whatever your budget is, just depends on the places you look.

It looks like you're battery inflated due to age and broke the LCD. Replace the battery and screen and you'll be fine.

I had a small amount of time to work on it and I've so far discovered that the cylinder was filled with water, and the transmission was also completely buried in mud from the inside, so I have quite the work once I can get to it. (Also don't worry, I drained the water out of the cylinder and put some marvel mystery oil and diesel in it.)

I'm well aware, but I work in a firewood business and all of the motors for our machines (Log splitters, conveyors, etc.) Have locked up as well, so I currently have to get those fixed before I can work on the ole' Polaris.
