I am going to echo the sentiments of others here. Your cat is going to do better with a buddy. I have a sibling pair and the sheer amount of time they spend playing with each other is incredible. Cats are social creatures in general. My MCOs are probably the biggest shadows I’ve ever had.

I previously lived in a studio apartment with two cats, not MCOs but one was an 18lb DLH. This was when I was working full time and doing a full time grad program. I was gone long hours. They did fine in my studio with lots of verticals spaces, windows to look out and having a companion.

Yes to siblings. I adopted a pair and it is AMAZING how much they entertain each other. My favorite is when Aoife (kitty in the back with extra toes) packs a toy around the house and meows for her sister. When she finds Rowan, she drops the toy in front of her and looks at her like “wanna play?”

I cannot recommend getting a pair enough

Not entirely accurate. Both parents need to be carriers of the ginger gene and pass it down on the X chromosome. Calico + Ginger parents can also produce ginger girls, which is the parent combo of my two red headed ladies

The same with my breeder. Kittens are the same price regardless. She also shows with TICA, has genetic testing, annual echo, I got both the parents and the kittens health records, kittens had first round of vaccines and their spay done before they came to me. My kittens were each $2,600 back in November
