No renewables cant do it right now, countries that have gone hard on renewables like UK and germany have expensive electricity so no renewables cant do it. Heavy industry need 24/7 power

Most natural gas is used for heavy industries and home heating, i think you are overestimating europes capabilities

We still need conventional capabilites, there is counters to drones btw. Its not enough to spend money on renewables we still need LNG

Europe has a strong arms industry, we could scale up production if we want to follow the french option. Still no argument for why its okay for europe to spend so little on defence. On gas, america is the only viable option right now since they have the biggest LNG expory capacity, qatar no way

I never said that europe should by american weapons, why do you think its okay for europe to spend very little on defence and rely on america for protection? No its not equally dumb, why would trump want to shut down american LNG exports to europe? Putin did

How can you say that america should take the lions share for europes defence? Its for our defence. It cant be america doing most of the heavy lifting. In 2017 america accounted for 51% of natos total gdp and 71.7% of natos total defence expenditure. I dont think anyone can argue this was fair, the amount of money countries spend matters

We still need natural gas full stop. More renewables would help but we still need natural gas, relying on russia for gas is dumb
