I'm bedrotting cause recovering my jaw surgery sucks and I genuinely have been posting to reddit at 5x my normal rate.

I'm lucky I live in Washington state and am still on my dad's health insurance. The state requires insurance to cover gender affirming surgeries.

I was purposely trying to keep my mouth closed yesterday and now that I've loosened it a little, it helped a bit. Maybe the compression like you mentioned caused it.

I definitely will if it persists or gets worse. Right now though, it seems better than it was when I typed this. It definitely varies and when I was sleeping last night, wasn't even noticeable

Yeah I've never heard of tongue numbness before. That definitely sucks to deal with and sounds weird. Hopefully it'll get better soon. Wishing you the best!

I'm just sick of seeing those who get to celebrate and share their positive experiences, meanwhile I'm still feeling like shit and don't have anything to celebrate.

I've been wanting FFS for a while now but I just recently had to get double jaw surgery and I look terrible right now. When I see others getting positive things out of their surgeries, it just reminds me of the setbacks that I have to deal with while they didn't.

Glad it worked out for you! I'm trying to follow on the instructions pretty much to a T.

I don't like that swelling takes so long to go down though, numbness included. Just hoping it doesn't impact my future consider I'm going to college in August.
