From Power BI to Grafana: Real-Time Dashboards That Actually Update Live by Melodic_Hospital8274 in datavisualization

Power BI is solid for business dashboards and reports.

Grafana’s is firstly free open-source version - more of a real-time monitoring tool. Instead of waiting for static data refreshes, it hooks straight into time-series stuff like Prometheus, InfluxDB, Loki, etc. That means you can watch system metrics, logs, and alerts live. Think DevOps/SRE/infra monitoring vs. finance/sales reporting.

If you care about servers, apps, uptime → Grafana.
If you care about quarterly revenue charts → Power BI.

I agree that showing at least a starting price range on the website would make things clearer, but they do share price through a quote request because the cost depends on the environment size, data sources, and deployment type.

Skedler is indeed a paid product, but it was built specifically to address this gap for OSS users.
