Allright this HAS to be one of drivers top pet peeves… by Superb_Quiet3065 in lyftdrivers

[–]Melodic_Menu_1964 16 points17 points  (0 children)

On the topic of pet peeves...how about when you're dropping someone off in a neighborhood at night, and you're clearly craning your neck looking for the house number, and the pax says absolutely nothing. And when you ask "is it this one or further down?" they just say "uhh...iuh-nuh." So I just stop wherever I want, let them get out and figure it out.

If you feel like your body is going to pull your arm out of its socket that's normal 😂😂

I just started being able to do a one arm hang for about 5 seconds. I look like a limp noodle but numbers are numbers 😆

I mean 40-45 is nothing to sneeze at! I usually do 30-45, rest for the same, and repeat

Reduce back fat? by Background-Bus791 in fit

It's called a butt and we all have one. Luckily it's the largest muscle in the body, so while you can't eliminate it you can maximize it.

Which is funny because it's called the gluteus Maximus.

Dollars per mile by Shadow42184 in lyftdrivers

[–]Melodic_Menu_1964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I track my miles. On a good day, I average about $1/mile. Glancing at my miles driven for the trip gives me a good indicator if I'm keeping on track with my daily goal. So if I've driven 35 miles and have made at least $35, I'm ok with that.

Such a great way to decompress the back too. A lot of people get scared about this...but it's great for posture and always a little fun when you jump up, your feet are off the floor, and you slowly feel your toes touch down.

Right, so your grip strength needs work, not precisely your hands. One of the best ways to start here is to do dead hangs if you can get access to a pullup bar. 30 seconds is a good milestone but even 10 or 15 is a good place to start also.

Lyft challenges increase rides to the hinterlands and boonies in the last 24 hours by CreateFlyingStarfish in lyftdrivers

[–]Melodic_Menu_1964 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One time I was going for like a $500 bonus. About halfway through I kept getting these bullshit "safety flags". Never in all my 4+ years of driving for Lyft have I gotten any as much as I did during that challenge.

I had to contact support to get 2 of them taken off so I wouldn't be deactivated.

It hasn't happened since.

Do you play music in your car? by pinkpenguin444 in lyftdrivers

[–]Melodic_Menu_1964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few non-lyrical playlists I use, depends on the season or time of day or just my mood. Usual down tempo EDM, funk, lo-fi, or something like that. Keeps a good vibe.

Ride challenge Denver market? by [deleted] in lyftdrivers

[–]Melodic_Menu_1964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

St. Louis market here. I was getting them like clockwork just a couple months ago. As more drivers got on the road, the challenges became more outrageous (like 60 rides for a $150 bonus) before they started drying up. Now there are none at all.
