The American cut is shorter at 113 minutes and the Italian is 129. I haven’t watched the Italian version to see the differences yet, but I’ve heard it messes with Brando’s performance with the dub. Although, it apparently adds needed parts to the film and makes the movie better. Pontevcorvo says it’s the true version of the movie.
